WANTED: Have Kerria roses/Japonica roses

I have rooted cuttings of Kerria roses. Also known as Japonica rose. They are evergreen flowering bushes and full of small yellow flowers.

I'm also posting some other things I have in separate threads so you might want to see what else I have. Just thought it would be better to list separately.

What I am looking for:

Old fashioned roses that form hips starts/cuttings

Fig tree start/cutting(cold hardy)

Raspberry starts/cuttings

Cannas

Trumpet vine start/cutting

Any peony root

I'm interested in your kerria. Are you looking for Campsis radicans (Trumpet vine)? I can send a sucker if that's what you are looking for. I also have Brown Turkey figs (unrooted).

I got a trade for the trumpet vine. I'd love a brown turkey fig cutting! I've mowed down every fig I've planted in the past three years!! Thanks!

Hi Donna ~ I have the single kerria, and I feel that it is not all that common. Happened upon mine in a Walmart (yeah, go figure!) about 7 years ago here in west KY. It is unbelievably gorgeous in bloom, although it does not get as big as the double and it doesn't sucker as badly. I have never seen another one for sale in a garden center in my area. This plant IS prone to scale so you have to watch. I treat it every spring with a good systemic drench. Japanese beetles aren't interested:). You are more than welcome to cuttings.

Hi, Euphoria! Welcome :) I've never heard of this, but my (non-Japanese-gardener) mother has. She says pith is a soft wood (similar to balsa wood) from the inner core of a tree or woody plant which is easily carved or formed, and which takes tints well. She's seen small (1.5" or so, or smaller) figures of flowers, birds, and frogs carved by Japanese artisans. Hope others can add more info :) - Evelyn
