HAVE: 2 blue Russell Lupines

It turns out all my lupines were the same color: periwinkle blue. Beautiful, but I wanted a variety so I bought more hoping that I'll end up with some other colors. The blue lupines I have to trade are healthy, well rooted and flowered this year. I'd like some late spring, zone 5 perennials. Something that flowers at the same time as peonies do. I have a very boring garden for about 3 weeks, right after the irises are done. Make some suggestions.

I would love to trade. Please look at my list or if you have something that you would like let me know. I have several vines that I can take cutting and root. Cup and Saucer Vine, I have a pandora pink vine and several black eyed susan vines that are easy to start rooting from. I have butterfly bushes. I did buy two new plants the year that has done so well I will be dividing. Sunset corespsis. LMK

How about some columbines? I have red and yellow, blue, nora black. If you still have the Lupines and would like to trade please let me know. Also, look at my list and see if there is anything else that might work for you.

Hi, Decided to post looking for some of my favorites that I would love to try or have more of next year! ~Veronicas (I have 2 bluish/violet ones and tried to save seeds as best I can but I don't know if I actually HAVE seeds lol but I would love more!) ~Native Blue Lupine (def got from somebody on here and only can find one seedling that survived on my hills so I wanna try a different location) LOVE the Color! ~Royal Wedding Poppies!! I NEED a white one! lol ~Pink Swirl/Blush Hibiscus (its the one that is white with pink fading into it like blush..I have several seedlings of reds/pinks but I really want this one!) I would also plant the seeds in those six packs you get with annuals. They tend to rot out really easy if sown too close together. Also keep a good amount of air flow where you sow them. If in a green house use a small fan on the lowest setting. Do not over water them, that also will contribute to them rotting. They usually have the hardest time with rot when they first start to germinate. When they get their first leaves. After they get to be about 2-3 inches and they have their true leaves they seem to be ok. They do not like to be transplanted so try to keep them in the six packs as long as you can until they need to go outside. I hope all this helps. Oh, when you water them, if your using a sprayer, try to water the soil only. Wetting the plant itself also contributes to the rot.

Hi there Thanks for replying to the posting. I have been trying to get a selection of lupins and would be glad to have a few seeds of anything you may like to send. I have managed to get some Russell lupin seeds and also some `Ban of Nobles` seed. These are, I am told, derived from the Russell seed but growing them on will show the best range of colours and size.
