@lazy_gardens: Let's call the current stucco color "Light Gray" - you are saying to paint the garage door itself Light Gray? Would you also paint the wood trim around the garage door Light Gray? @graywings123: We do, too, actually - it's definitely an option. Do you also like keeping the white gutters/trim or do you think they'd look better in a darker gray with brown undertones? Any thoughts on the garage door color? Thanks again!

I'm not suggesting what plants you use, or their character, but just a simple way of arranging them in order to create more interest. In addition to plants, in order to make the distant entrance seem more inviting, you'll need to make the path to it more prominent and better laid out (so as to allow proper space for a foundation planting. The last place I would place a tree would be at the central area near the window, as it does zero there for "framing" the house. A better spot would be between the two houses, near the lot line (off of the right house corner at a diagonal. A tree is also needed at the left side of the house, but there is no room for it.) I think you'll need to replace the top panel of the garage door with one that has a bank of windows so as to add more interest. Presently, it's too prominent and dull.

My laptop does weird things to colors, so I can't really tell what color your house is. Maybe my eyes aren't much better. I like a sage green house, and there are so many greens that fit that description. With that you can can have white trim or off white trim. Is that cream or ecru or whatever you call that. (Clearly I am not one of those gals that agonize over the 50 different shades of white, I can't even discern the diff between 'em. When I want white, I like the primer's white white! There are some advantages of age :) As for a door color, you can choose a lighter tint of the sage or a burgundy or lipstick-y pinky-wine or even a pumpkin or a teal. I love a dark glossy green door.

I would paint all the wrought iron pillars black. Add some colorful plants into your landscaping. It is a very nice house and quite attractive. I would keep it much as it is too. I do have the wrought iron on my house too, and they are black. I also intend to keep them. For your double doors, I would not paint them black. I would paint them a nice bright color, maybe a turquoise, or a darker rusty red, etc. Make them bright and stand out, so your entry way is clearly seen. Make sure you have lots of lighting.
