Have Japanese Maple seedlings

I have a bumper crop of baby Japanese maple seedlings this year. They have their first set of true leaves and are getting to be about 2-4 inches high. Some are all green, some are tinged red, but in the past I have had very very few true red ones that stayed solid red as they grew. I would like to trade these in dozen lots. I really am looking for mini dwarf irises, daffodils, herbs...

These would be great if you are into bonsai which I am not, or they make great patio trees planted in large pots in filtered shade once they get bigger. Let me know what you have to trade...I need to dig these up very soon!

Hi Trish. If you had Japanese Maple seedlings this spring, you should have them again next spring I would think. I have both purple Japanese Iris and Japanese Rooftop Iris (cristata) to trade. I have ipomoea platensis seed. I forms a big caudex that can be raised for bonsai effect, and also is covered with large purple flowers. mine spends the summer in a 24" pot on the front porch with a 6 ft trellis that it fills, and the winter(when it is semi dormant) as a bonsai. Mike
