wanted spider plant babies

hi i would like some babies of different kinds. i have had spider plants for years but when i moved into a new home 4 years ago only 1 survived. it is green on outside of leaves and white in the middle. my favorite one i had was from an old lady i used to take care of. it was so pretty and it had sentimental value too. the leaves where really curly kind of and the babies were so full and curly that they really looked like curly green spiders. god i would love to find a baby of that kind again. ill take any for now anybody would part with. can pay postage and/or pay for the babies. thanks for your time...........brandy

Brandy, I have the plain green one - it's a weed here in Florida - you can have some for postage - just email me.

Hi Brandy The curly spider plant you are talking about sounds like Bonnie Spider Plant. Please let me know if this is what you are looking for. You can look the name up on Google and find a picture. Thanks Brenda

What is the reverse varigated spider plant. I have the one that is curly and the regular (more with the white in the middle) and the other has less white. I would love to get one and will trade a couple of the babies i've started for one. Thank you,Cheryl

I have tried twice with baby spider plants. one time, with zero success, it died. That time I potted it up in a small pot. The second time, I stuck it in the top of a regular old plastic water bottle, filled with water. I wo uld let the water level get very low, to where it was just barely touching the roots, and refill it. It was there for about 4 months. After it had about 3" of new root growth or so, I potted it up. I took off any old brown or blackening roots and leaves, and its done fine the month andd 1/2 its been in soil. I let it fully dry out before I water it good. Its now starting to really grow and is producing new leaves. It seems like its doing just fine, and is on its way to becoming a happy, healthy, flowering adult some day. Good luck with yours!
