wanted: Weigela - any kind butterfly bush

I want any that can grow where it gets hot in summer. so calif. also want bi color or unusual butterfly bush plants. actually most plants that can tolerate a hot dry summer (I do water of course) and that I can propagate later. I prefer with flowers. thanks so much!

canna indica-bulbs

canna green foliage yellow flowers-bulbs

butterfly bush cuttings-lilac or black knight

quince-cuttings

canary island sage - seeds or cuttings

horehound- cuttings or roots

purple potatoe bush-cuttings

native calif buckwheat bush rooted

native calif huge bush or low grow tree maybe called Candy Bush? beautiful leather foliage and flowers like clusters, hard like candy gems! super drought resistant, cuttings only.

HI there, I am still looking for trades. Peonies have to be traded in the fall, this is the wrong time of year to dig on them. I do have a few different Brugmansias. What is the name of the orange Brug you have ? I'm set for tomatoes , as I have around 600 planted in the greenhouse, but would be interested in your Alpine Strawberries and Red Raspberries, and the Queen Elizabeth Rose bush for my mother. I have some rooted cuttings of hydrangea and unrooted cutting of butterfly bush if you want them. However, they would need to be kept in a pot for at least a year or so before they go in the ground.

Best I can tell they don't self-seed anywhere near where I live. I spend most of my time researching, identifying, and photographing wild plants for a project I am working on and I have never once seen a Butterfly Bush growing outside of someones yard. The closest thing I have seen to one in the wild in my area is a large bush growing in an old homestead site.. but even that one has yet to self seed anywhere.. and I've been watching it for years. I don't exactly live in the banana belt. We are up in the foothills of the Cascades and every Butterfly Bush I have ever grown has died off during the winter. So I am planning on growing one in a large pot so that I can bring it into the garage for the winter. The attitude I'm getting for posting this is amazing.. if you do not have a Butterfly Bush for trade.. I would politely request that you decline from posting in this thread. Maybe you should start a new thread for the sole purpose of bashing Butterfly Bushes with the rest of the "responsible gardeners in our area" Thanks!
