Cowpea/Crowder pea recommendation?
Okay, as a transplanted Yankee, I have tried my hand at a number of "southern" crops with much success and delight and this year I'm going to try a new one! My husband and I really like black-eyed peas (usually dried from the grocery, but occassionally fresh) so that's this year's experiment. Do they come in bush types and vining types like regular beans? My catalog doesn't actually say. I think I'd prefer a bush variety. Also, I'm not sure how many to plant to get a good yield. And of course, flavor would be a consideration, but other than to say we like the "nuttiness" of BEP, I'm not sure how you could tell what we would like! :) Thanks, all y'all!
