Get a catalog from several of the bulb companies...and choose what you like...
i have no favorite pink tulip....whatever looks good to me at the moment. Tulips are so short lived I plant about 75 new bulbs every year....and I don't have a big tulip display at all.

I planted Pink Impression for the first time last fall. They were absolutely gorgeous. I'll order the Impression collection from VE this fall. I am waiting for the catalogs rather than ordering them on line. I like to look at pictures in Scheepers then dream then order from VE. :-)

My absolute favorite tulip blend is a "Pastel Mix", which nearly every bulb company carries. Although it does have some pale yellows & apricots, it is primarily composed of different pale pink varieties, & the combination is breathtaking.

I bought mine - believe it or not - from the local Home Depot, & every bulb came up. It's not a long-lived tulip type - I got about 3 good years out of it. But for the extremely cheap price I paid, it was worth it.

I have ordered from VE with good results. Pink Impression is a very pretty tulip. I like the large full bloom on it. I do have that one on my list. There are just so many pretty tulips. Some tulip coloring can vary greatly in different catalogs. I planted Gudoschnik two years ago and while it was pretty, it didn't look like what I saw in the catalog.

I planted Gudoschnik from Colorblends 2 years ago and purchased more last year. I just love this tulip. It's stunning. 2nd year bloom has been greatly reduced though. I don't know if it's me or the tulip.

My favorite pink is 'Clara Butt' from Old House Gardens. It isn't cheap, and I don't know any other source. It's a luminous, glowing pink.

I don't have a favorite pink tulip, but a couple of tulips I've grown that go beautifully with pink are Amazone and Montreux, both of which I've gotten through Scheepers.

I was in Boston this past spring at the Boston Gardens. They had big sections of pink tulips next to orange ones. It was a beautiful display!

I am lucky to live near a town that has huge plantings of tulips.....each one named of course.
I would never ever buy a "mix" of bulbs. I want to know just when they will bloom in relation to the others and how tall they will be etc. I would never depend on anyone else to choose for me what might look good together.
One of the best tulip displays I ever say was in my neighbor's yard. She had tall darwin pale pink and a shorter deeper pink that bloomed at the same time, planted together and under planted with forget me nots.
If you choose well you can have a long tulip period with many lovely combinations during that long bloom period.
And no one would ever sell a mix of orange and pink tulips....but as Katrina says....theyw ere wonderful together.
I think you just have to make your own choices.

I bought a "Pastel Mix" once and I'll never do it again. All of the tulips were white. Any puny. So now I make my own "mix" by selecting varities that I like and when you pick named varities, you usually know what you're getting.

I just did my Brent and Becky's and Scheeper's orders tonight, also predominantly pinks. They have a lot of great choices -- some of the ones I'm trying this year include Acropolis, Hermione, China Pink, Upstar, Sugar Love, and Ollioules.

There is a mix from Colorblends that I recommend without hesitation -- "French Blend Rose." I planted this last year, and they were really nice big flowers with long stems, just as nice as any expensive French tulips I've seen at the florist. NO yellows or whites mixed in (they have a different pastel mix for that). Some of them were a bit salmon/orange-y pink, but those turned out to be some of my favorites (and looked pretty with the pinker pinks, as Linda C says). All late bloomers, so you might need some other early ones as well. Great if you want a lot of them.

Thanks for all your replies. I love orange and pink together. I have noticed that some of the catalogs have orange & pink tulip combos such as Colorblends & Van Engelen. Supergirl, I have been looking at some of the tulips you mentioned. My bedtime reading consist of plant catalogs. :-) ljrmiller, Clara Butt is a beauty. I have never ordered from Old House Gardens. I just may give them a try. Thanks again to *all* of you. I can always count on the great gardeners here for good advice.
