This year I want to grow some bulbs, and I like to know out of the two, which flowers longer?

It's the beginning of Autumn here in AUstralia, and I like to know do I need to chill both bulbs in a refrigerator?

If so, how long do I put it in the refrigerator?

I remembered when I was young and tried growing daffodils, the plant ended up to be tiny, with flowers, and the flowers didnt last really long. Does that mean I have to chill daffodils as well?
