Dug Up Star of Bethlehem Bulbs in Early Dec. - What To Do Now ?

Hi!

I had dug up my naturalized Star of Bethlehem in early Dec. '07. I was meaning to relocate them to another area in my yard, but, I had gotten too busy, and had never gotten around to doing this yet. (These bulbs were already developing 6 to 7 inch green shoots when I had dug them up.)

The bulbs are still in the bucket I had originally placed them in. The shoots they had developed had all but nearly died/turned yellow.

What should I do with them now? Is it too late to plant them where I originally wanted to relocate them? Will they still bloom in the future? Should I just store them until the time comes to plant them for spring '09?

Thank you for your time and attention to my message!

Sincerely,

MBlueTyphoon
