Hmm..I'm not sure what to tell you. I'm no expert on issues with plants. When you repotted did you examine the roots to look for rot or any sign of mold or fungus? I only have one scheff, but I have a clipping in soil to see if it'll root. :) So my experience is very limited. The thread "Help me to help my plant branch out" is one I started for my scheff. If you would like to experiment, I would suggest trimming it to see if the new growth will form the brown stops. Also this method is good if you want a more bushy plant. I trimmed mine about halfway down the plant and new growth started almost immediately. Since you are loosing leaves you might want to cut the plant down so that its energy is more focused on getting stronger roots and new growth. Again, I am no expert so this is merely my suggestion. I have several Shefs in the garage ,I put them in there every Winter for over 10 years. About 2+ weeks ago the temp got down to around 24 o & the Garage Door got left open from est midnight -7:30 am .On many of the 3-4 foot plants (they still had activity growing Tips ) Now the tips are all bent over & many of the outer Sucker leaves look a Dark Green (ie went from a 25yo Skin to a 70yo ) over night . Soo I have Gathered I should Cut back all that I can tell is Dead? funny it did not effect the Cuttings I had on a 3 ft table .? I was also thinking about bringing them inside after I trim then , Would this be a Shock as well.? Thanks Davers71

this time of year.. in MI ... [i am down in adrian] ..... with the furnace running what seems non-stop ... sucking all the humidity out of the house.. it is not uncommon to have leaf issues ... and i would do EXACTLY what you did... pull off the ugly ones ... you water when they need water.. insert finger and find out ... three weeks is a long time... in a furnace house in the arctic.. lol ... watering is an art.. not a calender science ... check.. dont guess .... you would probably learn a lot about houseplants.. in the houseplant forum ... one trick i suggest.. with heirloom plants.. learn how to propagate them.. and make a second.. for failsafe purposes ... a pic of the whole might make a difference ... to my opinions ... good luck ken

so it was one random branch or leaf cluster ...? probably shipping damage.. wither to the store.. or to your house ... i suspect you solved the issue ... when you pinched it off to take the pic ... brilliant .. lol ... ken
