Mugo Repot & Surprise

I was a little late in repotting stuff this year. (New job, late getting turface/etc. ordered...) I just got around to repotting a mugo pine. I had been tempted to just get rid of it because of poor decision making at the nursery. I was in a hurry and thought I saw something in this tree... When I got home I didnt see what I'd seen before...and for the last several months didnt see it either.

Well I did a complete repot. I got all the soil and (mostly) bark chips from the roots and replaced it with good quick draining soil. Well, I was surprised that the trunk has an interesting twist in it. It doesn't show extremely well in the pics but you can see the trunk spiraling out of the soil. I also saw that this might make an interesting (semi?)cascade. What do you think?
