Also, would that part number 790400 (698492) be the latest greatest version or the original duplicate? If original, would it be better to opt for an improved version? I think this relates to this post but if my current garden tub measures 70", can I replace it with a 72" and still be okay with the drain if I am on a slab foundation? Many thanks

They probably indicate the ceiling joists/rafter ties and a 24 inch on center spacing is assumed (sloppy work). The smaller ones probably have no load above (often shortsighted in my opinion). The larger ones are floor joists but the author of the drawings was too lazy to draw an upper floor plan where such information should be noted. I would be uneasy about someone building a house for me without real framing plans.

The use of the Superior Walls system is approved by the IRC on the basis of Evaluation Report ESR 1662. That document states that the system is an acceptable substitute for Dampproofing but not for Waterproofing. It also states that "where underground water investigation, required by the applicable code, indicates that a hydrostatic pressure condition exists, the foundation wall must be waterproofed in accordance with the applicable code." The IRC requires basement foundation wall waterproofing in areas "where a high water table or other severe soil-water conditions are known to exist". Many state codes, including mine, require that foundation waterproofing can be omitted only if a ground-water evaluation does not indicate that a hydrostatic pressure condition exists or if there is satisfactory data available from adjacent areas demonstrating that ground water has not been a problem. Therefore, it would be possible for a building department in these jurisdictions to allow waterproofing to be omitted because of careful analysis and sufficient site condition data but not because of test data from Superior Walls. So, rather than change the subject of the thread to foundation systems we should be discussing the best way to waterproof a foundation since the OP's decision to waterproof or not has already been made with the help of a design professional and we have no information to suggest that was a bad decision. For all we know, the site could be in (or near) an IRC Seismic Design Category D that would forbid the use of Superior Walls (or any system without poured footings) or sub-surface hydrostatic pressure might be anticipated or the OP believes in buying cheap insurance against the possibility of future water problems.
