Question 1. The cabinets are Mastercraft-Camelot-Suede. These are the brand our builder used. We only had a few choice at the time we built. We're really cherry people but they didn't offer cherry then. Of course the builder has a much larger selection now. I would look at the Manhattan style. It's the same as ours but raised panel. I wish we would have had that option at the time. Question 2. The pulls are sold by a few places on Ebay. I got them from www.everythingdoors.com and they matched the best price I found.

Yes, I want to get to Lowes. It's a two-hour commute for me, which is why I haven't gotten there yet, but then I can even compare the Schuler/Medallion and Kraftmaid finishes. I've seen the Kraftmaid before in Home Depot and it seemed nice. I'm just so worried about making the wrong choice and then having to live with it for 20 years. My own silliness, though I suspect a lot of people have that anxiety here. I envy the people that don't. :-) charlikin

I just had most of my new home's cabinetry and millwork sprayed in oil based BM Satin Impervo in White Dove. The best recommendation my painter had was to use the BM Fresh Start enamel underbody as the primer. It was expensive but well worth the money. I used the water based Satin Impervo in our last home and the oil based with this primer makes a huge difference in my eye in the depth and richness of the finished product in addition to the durability. We did one coat of primer and two (sometimes three)coats of the Satin Impervo. Here's my kitchen in White Dove. My camera turns my cabinets grey, they are actually more white in person. The whitest area is the truest color. I suggest going to the local paint store and buying some sample pots to test in your home. The colors you see online aren't going to be the same in your home as it all depends on lighting, etc. I limited myself to three colors because I have a tendency to over analyze and second guess myself and then get nothing done because I can't come to a decision. I chose the stock Satin Impervo, Simply White and White Dove as my samples. In my home the stock color was too yellow (although it was pure white in our last home), the Simply White was too "operating room" and the White Dove was the middle of the road, not too yellow and not too grey. There are some beautiful kitchens on GW in the Simply White, it just didn't work with my lighting. Good luck! I'm sure they will turn out beautiful !

I recommend Merillat Masterpiece cabinetry. They offer 16 styles in Hickory with 10 stain colors. The standard drawer boxes are solid hardwood dovetail with undermount, full-extension drawer slides and soft-close doors and drawers. They offer standard furniture board construction as well as plywood sides or an all-plywood box and have a limited lifetime warranty. Merillat Masterpiece is made in the same factory as Kraftmaid. Whatever you do, look at the warranty. It's a statement of how long the manufacturer thinks the cabinet will last. If someone offers you a product with a short warranty, ask yourself if you want to replace your kitchen 5-10 years from now.
