Since you won't be repainting your living room color, I think Dorian Gray SW will be too cold for the cabinets. Have you considered a greige color? Something similar to this: I think it will better lend itself to the warmer tones in your home.

Hi @Kristy Leigh: Would you mind sharing the specfic shades of white/blue on your cabinets? In particular, I really love the blue! Also, I appreciate the SW Silver Strand wall color idea; will be getting a sample to contemplate for kitchen nook and adjacent den.

You could paint the walls with the same color. It will look slightly contrasted in a matte finish. Another thing is asking them to make you a tester about 30-50% stronger - same colorants, same proportions, more of them will make a darker but related color. Maybe look at whiteish or pale colors with "linen" in the name. They normally range from pale brown to somewhat grayish brown. Also sometimes parchment, kraft paper or kaki browns or their close neighbors. Classic Gray has warm undertones of purple and sometimes a soft pink. But, because it's an off-white, it will also reflect other stuff in the room. <- quoted-ish from Kate Jenna at Home. Cause I wouldn't know an undertone. So if it looks good with purple... Your thoughts about brown seem good. Pink for a thrill, Robins egg or silver grays. Your counter, floor and any backsplash may need to be considered as well as the wall color. It easy quite easy to pick paint that brings out an unpleasant tone in those. In my experience, cursing helps quite a bit. Good luck.
