Very nice room, you've got an elegant sophisticated look going on. As for the curtains, I actually like them both, but I think the blue silk have more of the beautful bedroomy feel to them than the brown do. And as to wall paneling- I do think it would add a busyness to the room, that would fight against the calm streamlined look you have now. Not that it would look bad, I just don't think it would really add a lot. If you picked the blue silk curtains, would you consider doing your headboard in a compatible soft blue color? I think it would look very lovely with your mirrored tables. And for the bedding- I like the bedding you have in the first picture. I don't think your room speaks for strong geometrical designs. And I think the different textural feel of the faux fur, and the soft stripes of the duvet look very nice.

Hey walkin -- I'm *far* from an expert on this--people here helped me on the one I've done. I bought a kit of the precut wood and MDF parts, complete with screws and such, truth be told, just because I didn't want to have to do all the measuring and cutting--sometimes I hit "tilt" and have to take the easy way out. The kit was from eBay. We did buy better foam, however, than the kit came with. And we also wrapped it. Probably way overdoing it. It wasn't hard at all, in fact rather enjoyable in an instant-gratification kind of way (esp. since I didn't have to do the cutting :))--we did do two rows of staples, alternating spaces kind of like sewing stitches, because the fabric seemed to pull between the stitches so I wanted it anchored completely. We didn't edge it with wood, but we could--we just did a simple rectangle which extends 24" above the surface of the mattress (we have a high mattress--if you were to purchase the same set and not have as high a mattress setup, it would be taller unless you cut it down). We love the simple lines. It would be easy to put wood around this if we chose to, or to make a slipcover for it down the line.

if you like the paper then all walls. I just did all 4 walls in a small powder room 3 x 7. I added crown and painted ceiling and crown semi gloss white vs flat white (the ceiling was smooth so it could handle the gloss. It really brightens and just gives the room a wow factor. I love wallpaper and 20 years ago pretty much had it in all rooms LOL. Now just the small bath. I am thinkin about doing a wall in my kitchen. My sons came home and saw the bath and ask me if I was going to paper everything again LOL. They were giving me ideas. They are in their 20s almost 30 now. It actually makes them feel comfortable happy. It reminds them of their childhood. :)

I'm not a fan of the original hardware. Your room feels elegant and that one, the bolt, feels to jarring and clunky to me. So, just to add more project creep, why not get a wooden one, paint it the same color as the headboard and then glue it into place? #6, #9, and #10 would be so elegant and understated.
