Thanks for the ideas!! We ended up choosing the following frames. On the left, the unfinished wood frame is the one we chose for the master ensuite. The silver, thin one just to the right of it has hand-applied silver leaf. He will use the same treatment on the unfinished wood frame. On the right is the one are doing for the guest bathroom.

That's a beautiful sconce. Sure you can use it, but it would put you on a sort of glam path. Is that what you want in that bathroom? For placement, if you're keeping the sink where it is now, maybe you could do a double or triple sconce over the mirror, and use a pedestal sink (Kohler Memoirs comes to mind) instead of the vanity. I don't think you would have room for sconces on the sides, unless there's more space that we can't see in your pix. Does your trim have a deeper band on each side (same thickness on the part that goes against the window and the perimeter), or does it taper from the part against the window to the perimeter? I would probably interrupt the molding and place a block that is the same thickness as the thickest part of the molding underneath the backplate of the sconce. I would make it slightly larger than the backplate so it clearly appeared that the sconce "rested" on something, but I would not emphasize it more than that.

It reminded me of Katrina when many people were brought to Houston. If they didn't move you, I don't know who would. There were so many volunteered to help that the Red Cross had to send them home. Clothes were piled up so fast that many had to be boxed up and saved for other needs in the future. While helping these people, I had a couple stopped me and thank me for smiling. I was puzzled. They further explained that for days, their world was surrounded by glooming sights. It was even on people faces. A simple smile to them was hope. Seriously, I never thought of that way before. I made a point to smile all day long. I tell you, my mouth was almost stuck at that position.
