Please help me with wall-mounted sconces and mirror issues
Comments (43)Hi @goredr, I meant start a new thread where your post was the opening statement. But, I like your picture. It helps very much to describe what you are asking. If you still care to begin your own thread, you just enter it at the top and add the picture along with it. You give the tread a title. Your Title could be something like "advice needed for mirror placement in makeup/vanity area". Or something shorter. I think you will get more feedback with your own post because it will be new. This thread is old and may be ignored. I think a lovely mirror of your choosing would look special and personal to you, between the sconces. It could be a long oval, a rectangle, with or without frame. I think a bevel would be a nice touch, especially with a frameless mirror. Since that is a makeup area, what other lighting will you have? I feel that the lighting you have now, may not be bright enough....See MoreOT: Please help me choose tile and counter for modern bath
Comments (4)Hi Maggie, I snapped that picture at Bedrosians. I didn't write down the name because I just liked the idea of the pattern, but looking at their website I think it was one of the Eclipse glass and marble mosaics, maybe Eternity or Marina. Here is a link that might be useful: Eclipse...See MoreGuest Bath Reno Finishing help
Comments (8)Thank you Patricia! Although it looks like a shower seat its purpose is rather a space for shampoo/soaps. I had 70" on that wall to play with and used a standard size tub and used the 12" space to make a bit of design rather than using corner soap pies. The most economical glass option quote I received is a single fixed panel (appox 36") that would cost me $700 eeekkk. I decided against it because I don't have a "wow" focal wall mosaic in the shower to show off. Two questions about your thoughts- The soon to be sconce light is positioned above the vanity currently. If I opted to use a large mirror do you think I could keep it in the same position above the vanity or would I have to move towards the middle of the wall between the end of the vanity and toilet for more symmetry?the tile to ceiling suggestion for the remainder of the sheet rock. Would a mosaic tile in complimentary taupe and grey appear to look like I "ran" out of the larger tile that's already there given I put the metal schluters already? I appreciate your feedback!...See MorePlease help me choose a light fixture for my new guest bath!
Comments (14)everdebz Thank you so much for your suggestions! The ceilings are 9 feet. I actually looked at the Archives 2-Light Bath, Antique Nickel by Progress. You are right, it is very similar to the one I shared in the photo. I chose it because I liked how the glass shades were skinnier and longer, just an overall sleeker look. Maybe more Restoration Hardeware-ish? The flooring is a matte white medium size hexagon tile and the shower is a white gloss, longer subway tile. I will see if I can post pics. Thanks so much for your time and all of your suggestions!...See MoreRelated Professionals
