I have a 48" CC with a grill/griddle. The grill is great, to the point that I should have skipped the griddle and gone for a 24" grill. I have cooked chicken, veggies, burgers, lamb chops, thick cut bacon, steaks, you name it! The best part is clean up is easy- I hit it with a regular grill brush and put the cover it- done! Every month or so I take the grates off and put them in the DW. They reverse so you can cook delicate fish with the very wide flat side or everything else on the thin side (which has built in grease channels that really do direct the grease to the front). You do need to make sure you have a large exhaust fan to take care of the smoke that occurs when grilling. I have also seen people use them as additional burners when you need a lot of burner space...

I have five kids (eldest is almost 12, youngest is almost 2) -- they are fantastic, incredible, wonderful creatures :-) We have four sons and a daughter, and our home is filled with the sounds of giggling and arguing and jumping and running and chitter-chatter. My husband and I go to bed every night thanking one another for the family we have. The first two boys (26 months apart) each arrived 11 weeks preterm (29 weeks' gestation) and required months of hospitalization in the NICU, including multiple surgeries, ambulance rides and long nights of wondering if they'd survive until morning. They finally became healthy little toddlers and I had my tubes tied, thinking there was no way I could bear to bring another baby into a terrifying scenario like that again. Time passed, and the yearning got only stronger for more children...I discovered the source of my obstetric problems (a congential gynecological defect) and underwent a grueling seven-hour surgery to repair my tubes and correct my dysfunctional anatomy. Went on to have three more scrumptious kids and now I have five healthy, gorgeous children. It's exhausting, yes. It sometimes causes a bit of financial juggling (I'm a SAHM). The volume in my house is often very high with clamors for my attention or frustrations among the siblings, but it's nothing compared to the joy of hearing them laugh uncontrollably during an afternoon of goofing off as a family. I don't worry about the teenage years -- we've done our best to lay the groundwork to raise our kids with enormous self-respect and self-esteem. They'll make mistakes, I'm sure of it, but hopefully they'll return to their core values and continue to grow into fine adults. Until then, we have years of baking cookies, chasing the dog around the backyard, monitoring homework and tidying up mountains of Hot Wheels and multi-colored wooden blocks with these sweet, funny little kids we're so lucky to call our own. It's all good. Create the family you want, and then pour your heart and soul into enjoying your blessings. If you already feel sad about *no more babies, ever* and the vasectomy hasn't even happened yet, you're clearly not ready to move on -- you'll know in your heart which path is right for you and your family. Well, the "80's" revival happened in downtown Manhattan years ago. Walk through the financial district and you'll see pink, lavender, yellow, and to a lesser extent gingham. Shirts are pastel, ties are bright and socks are multicolored. It's alive and well here. Gooster, I had no problem finding these rooms. Thing is, bossy wanted it to look like a straight mans bedroom. I read that as pink elements in a modern or rustic setting. Personally though, I think it's all perception. Fluorescent pink will look manly to many - all about what you're used to. @Annie - That room looks like it belongs in a hotel to me. I don't see gender when I look at it.

I guess we just have severe absent-mindedness. If I'd look for the light, or put a hand on the door, or listen carefully, or even remember that I've started the dishwasher, that'd be fine, but DH and I often have an abandoned glass in the living room, or a plate from a snack, or a small dogfood spoon from feeding the beast, or a knife from an evening piece of fruit, etc. that we want to put in the dishwasher, and when I'm talking or thinking about something else or looking out the window I just walk up and open the door. If the light were more conspicuously shining on the floor (or, ideally, integrated into the handle), it would register, but shining on the bottom of the countertop overhang makes it virtually invisible when you're right in front of the dishwasher reaching to open it. It's a minor complaint and I really like the dishwasher, but I wouldn't mind a different sort of indicator.
