Will you be painting the trim around the windows also? Right now the trim is white and your garage door is white. I think they should match. You could paint trim/garage door beige like the little molding below the stone part of your house. That qould look good, I think. Your front door could be any color...mine is red and I love it.

Yellow. Definitely yellow. Not SCREAMING yellow, but a definite, obvious, "this-is-a-yellow-door-and-I-love-it" Yellow. you know, choose a yellow color that's somewhere between classic bold yellow, and the cream color already on your house... yeah, definitely yellow. :)

I like a green-blue suggestion above, but your exterior colors are so neutral that you can choose almost any color you like and it will be another step to make this house "yours". A bright blue door will make a bold statement and will be an eye-catching focal point distracting from poor landscaping. On the porch, you can add an outdoor chair and decorate it with some bright pillows that will match your front door. If there is not enough space for chair you can add an unusually patterned rug. I actually love the white doors but my husband thinks it's a bad idea with four little kids. We do have a ton of windows, 10 foot ceilings etc... but in our old home, we didn't have as much light and I did like the gauntlet gray doors. I don't think I can get him to agree to Dover white for doors so I need something! I'm at the paint store and I'm seeing what you are both talking about with the dovetail... I pulled Acier and that might be an option...
