We lived in Ukla (I may be spelling it wrong) but it was a little town outside Brussels. We didn't want to live in Waterloo where most x-pats live because we wanted to improve our French and we loved that little area. We spent Sat morning walking to the little shops for first Chocolat!! Then breads, then flowers, then meats, etc. etc. It was glorious! Looking forward to seeing more pictures!

Please clarify this statement... "I like more war, colors like the beige or light tan to coordinate with each other." Also it is hard to recommend colors without some idea of the space and how the rooms relate to each other. Do you have a floor plan, sketch or pictures that you can post to help us give you ideas? Whole house open concept or 3 separate rooms with doors or clearly defined separations for different colors of paint. Also what color & type of flooring, furniture, cabinets, rugs, art etc... Without any of the above I can say I like the following colors & you might start your paint journey with:

Sorry so many comments, internet slow and won't take a lot of pics at once. Walls Bittersweet stem, accent wall as above. I'd paint the door the wall color since you don't have trim around it. It looks unfinished in these pics. not sure these are the right colors but they give you the idea.
