I've grown several of Moores and I do grow the species. The species survives here and is cane hardy. This year's easter freeze caused it to loose all leaves and flower buds but no stems. The leaves and flower buds grew back. I don't know how much cold it would take to knock it down totally. There is a limit, though, because bracteata hasn't naturally spread as far north as Oklahoma according to the map linked at the site below. Colorado may be too cold for agressive growth. Nik.... I think if you leave it where it is, as a freestanding shrub, you are going to have to support its canes with something, I don't know what... I wouldn't want to grow it that way, if it is FEL, and let's assume it is for now... my plant was grown on a partition fence within my garden, not on a boundary, and it grew to about 10-12 feet width before I moved on... it develops thick strong canes, thorny too, and made a heavy plant... at one time I thought it would bring the fence down, so I had to reinforce it...think of it as a mini Kiftsgate... and as you can see from my photos earlier, it's growing on a wall in that garden - best place for it... I was disappointed in that I couldn't detect a great scent either, as I had been led to believe it possessed... ...looking at your rose again, its habit does remind me of it too, canes flying out everywhere, rambler type... they need tying in... ..best of luck with your 6 foot cane approach, but rather you than me...

I need help. My momma spiderplant loves direct summer sunlight. I know its weird but she got three times bigger this summer and so so green. She's about 9 years old. I have growing babies also from her. But I brought her in like I always do for winter and put them all under my grow bulb for six hours daily then rest. I put her in a nice large pot with lots of room. Her roots were so congested. But I didnt break up the root base. I never have before either. But now she is sick! First her leaves turned brown and cracked in half. Now they are turning yellow so fast half of her is gone. And bad burns on tips. I only give her purified water now. In summer it was tap and no issues! I fed her a fertilizer stick in her new pot. Now my medium sized babies are yellowing and burning on tips. I changed their soil to an all purpose soil is the only difference other than bringing them in. I didnt change the pot on the medium babies. I've never seen her sick like this. Please tell me what to do! Help!!
