Your best price for cabinets may depend on who installs them. In our situation (Madison, WI), we found a great GC who gives his clients the builder price from the supply place he uses. This place carries 3 levels of cabinets and has a staff of kitchen designers. So, our price was 40% off retail and we got the free services of the builder place kitchen designer who did a lot of work for us. So far, we've installed the lowest grade in family rec room (ok for that place & better than our existing kitchen cabinets), middle grade for bathrooms (nice), and finally next week the upper grade (Dynasty) will be delivered for kitchen and dining room. I don't think we'd have gotten equivalent cabinets for this price at a national big box store.

My son wanted a deep red for his room two years ago--in fact that's where I got my screen name "Colorfast."= So...we found the best reds to choose from were Ralph Lauren. We had a RL color mixed into a Devine paint. Our paint store had done our favorite Red before and already had the formula for it. Yes, it's a little dicey asking for a color match, but people on the paint forum said RL is known for great colors and less-than-great paint quality. So essentially, you would not be the first. I believe we got the RL Hunter Coat red but also really loved Dressage Red (and some of the other Thoroughbred collection) and a few of the Island Brights. Note that the Paint forum advised me to do a GRAY primer over my already white-primed walls. With a white primer, your red will need coats and coats or it will look pink. Check the Paint forum. I don't know if your door is raw wood or already painted and they can tell you best.

I like it. I wouldn't mess with it. OTOH, there is a homeowner in our town who changes her front door color at least once a year. I even think it might be seasonally. Changes the surrounding decor, too, like wreaths on the door, planters, etc. I don't get it. Anyway, if you're unsure about the color and want to explore other options, you could be like her and try them all out by the end of the year. Ha!

no turquoise or Aqua on this list. But the purple door is fantastic. I love aqua and turquoise. I found my exterior colors in one of the many paint books I bought. Here's a blurry photo I took of the original brochure. I know I have that book around here somewhere... it comes with all the colors and I will share if I find it.
