I love this idea! I have a bird cage that I made into a fairy cage with old tree bark and branches, fake barbed wire made from embroidery thread, feather birds, led light string, silk flowers, clay mushrooms that I made, a found deserted bird nest from a tree we had cut down and milk pods among other natural things. I am wondering if the light bulb would cause a fire with all of the natural things in it. Any ideas for this would be much helpful. Maybe just remove the light bulb and use the led lights? i agree that it would be so super easy to make..just 2 metal rings..heck you could even use embroidery rings in 2 sizes..or a round piece of heavy wire..it won't really show behind the beads..if you use wire just wire the beads on the wire and it will be inside and not show..string the loose ends of the wires through a few beads and use glue and then cut them off.. put the strings of beads down from top, wrap wire or floss or whatever around snd ring and then cross at bottom and continue up to the top again..so simple..could be made any color and just hung from wire or whatever from a light fixture..if you ahve a light fixture with a top ring..then you are all set...you can buy the ones that fit over the plain bulbs

We just got the RH large oak library media unit for the living room, which is just off the dining room, and I'm hoping they work together. amac - once I oiled the table to protect it from spills and stains I found it very practical. We eat dinner there most evenings (although I cover the 6 yr old's chair with a hand towel!). In the mornings, before waking up the kids and dealing with the craziness of getting ready for work and school, I try to sit there for just a few minutes with my tea and toast. It's my sanctuary before dealing with a hectic day :-) pps - you can't go wrong with the armonk if you have 10 foot ceilings and it would look great with a rustic table. My table is 9' but the HF fixture is available in a smaller size. I think I got a good deal on it from the online store Five Rivers, but they've since gone out of business. Too bad, because they told me I could exchange the stone glass if I changed my mind but then I ended up paying extra for the water glass from another retailer.

If the Architectural style of the home is Traditional, yes. Ceiling treatments are popular, incl. your medallion, wallpaper, lath, lighting. I picture a more delicate type of caged fixture with the medallion. Not sure what size you need but this is nice:
