YOu might look for the picnic table type single bench seats that have the x-legs, and then just put them with the x side facing out, not turned the way you normally would sit on them with the x on the sides. Stain or paint them, add a cushion on top. Probably can find them on sale now at garden or pool centers since it is the end of season. In the alternative, consider a couple of smaller trunks with cushions on top. SOmething like this might work: trunk Get some antique gold rub 'n' buff and do the lock and handles with it.

I was ADAMANT that I did not want green. I just don't care for the color at all. I told Chris at Dorado that I would be unhappy if my counters were green. That is why he hand picked my slabs. He says there is a tiny bit of green in a few of the veins but that it will darken to black with age. If I zoom in to 100% on the slab pictures, I can barely see any green at all. I'm not worried in the slightest. We went to every stone yard in Nashville. None of them had anything we liked. They all tried to push Ice Flower on us (ICK!). The really frustrating thing is, if you call and ask if they have soapstone, they all say yes and when you get there they might have ONE slab. We learned that would be the case pretty much anywhere in this neck of the woods. We even asked OHM if they could get additional slabs of the ONE they had and they told us no. Having someone willing to hand pick slabs for us was GREAT. I cannot wait to have my counters :)

Believe it or not, we ended up getting a real wood stand from Ikea after months of looking at much more expensive ones. It's an extremely transitional piece, with plenty of detailing to suit our 1920's house, while still possessing the clean, modern lines my husband loves. We bought two bookcases to match, and have been stunned at the quality (I have a ridiculous amount of very heavy books, and the shelves aren't warping at all). The Hemnes living room line is new this year, and much high quality than anything else at Ikea. Other than that, I recommend Costco. Megan, do you have a Lowe's or Home Depot near by. They both carry that pull. Not sure if they have all the sizes in their stores but at least you could see them, buy a few and return them if they don't look right in your new kitchen
