Using the HOUZZ app

It would be very helpful if the app would zoom out.for easier viewing on text and images with respect to the visually impaired.

I have poor vision and can't see the photos good enough in the discussions because they don't zoom out on the iPad. It would help if I could quickly " save" the pic to my photos so I can do a quick zoom via my iPad gestures then delete it afterwards, but you can't save the photos either.
I should t have to mess around taking screenshots to see better.

If viewing in the browser it zooms out. It's just not assessable in the app,

I can't read the text very well either, especially in this comment box I'm typing in.

Aside from this I very much enjoy HOUZZ.

Don't you mean zoom in (enlarge) vs zoom out (make smaller)?

In discussions and ideabooks, if you tap on the photo, it will zoom to fill the screen. You can now pinch to scale it further with your fingers. Tap the back button to return to the original discussion / ideabook.

As for text size, the houzz app respects the system text size settings, try changing the text size settings in the device settings app.

Sorry, yes I meant enlarge.i know the idea books do.,it's the rest of the app features, in particular these discussions with images. They don't pinch out , but do on the website, still using the iPad. It's the app only.

Recently, someone here mentioned having trouble when trying to use the Houzz app to access GardenWeb forums. Someone on the Houzz staff was kind enough to let me know (several weeks after writing to them!) that the Houzz App does NOT work for GardenWeb forums! They said that the Landscape Design forum could only be accessed via the regular Internet channels when using a mobile device. Thought I would mention it so people could end their futile attempts to get here with the Houzz App.

Tropic. I heard it probably 4-6 months ago. I think it was an interview with the CEO of Houzz by Jim Cramer. She was a young, Asian woman. She was talking about how successful Houzz has been bringing in money through their website. She mentioned how there were things they would change and improve. Anything that didn’t drive income would be dropped or changed. My thoughts was Gardenweb. Not sure if she mentioned it specifically. My thinking is if they don’t integrate Gardenweb into Houzz, they will drop it. They are totally focused on home improvement and leading people to their contractors.

Nancyjane, here are steps for "yajust": Get the Brave browser app. It works really well with GW. (Any browser should work, but it's the one I like best.) Put this in the location (URL) box: gardenweb.com/discussions/cooking Press ENTER (or submit or go or CR whatever your button says) That should be all there is to it.
