Hi, I have 5 mango trees and they are appx between 10-19 years old. I used to trim/prune them to keep them on the "not so tall side" every year after harvest (best time to prune them)...but the last few years I have been getting lazy Lol...and haven't pruned them in a while...if you google "condo mango" or semi dwarf mango trees you will find some varieties that aren't prone to getting too tall and large, of course ALL mango trees have the capabilities of getting quite large if left to their own, but as long as you prune them once a year you can keep them on the smaller size. There are many videos on Youtube that show people heavily pruning mangoes and they do quite well...

Here's a couple of my 10-11 year old mango trees when I use to prune them yearly, they were smaller then...you can see how short the trunk is. This is a Cogshall variety, one of the semi dwarf variety

This was taken when it was 10 years old, quite small for being that age...

Good Luck with your fruit trees...
