Unique Wood Floors

It looks like 2-1/4" Red Birch solid strip floor to me.

If there are heating vents in the floor, it would be easy enough to remove a vent and see the underside of your floor. If it’s real wood, you should be able to tell.

I would suggest adding contrast without going too crazy here. My recommendation is to bulk up the window trim, rather than add shutters. I would also add window boxes (in the same color as the trim) with flowers. While the shrubs you have will look tremendously better in a few years, they still are very plain and regular. I would talk to a nursery about something that works well in your area, but that will add more visual interest. I think it would look better to but the biggest planting between the garage windows rather than one on each side. If you can add a berm or two to the landscape to eliminate the flatness, it would definitely help. Also, I would add a pop of color with seat cushions on front porch furniture. Whatever color you choose, I would use the same color in the window box flowers.
