Hard to say, since I’m rarely sitting back on the cushions unless I’m laid back using an ottoman. The back cushions haven’t needed any fluffing, etc. but I’m usually stretched out. 30” is very deep and I got it that deep for my personal situation, where i wanted plenty of room while stretched out. My previous sofa had 25” depth and it was plenty to sit upright comfortably.
Jenson-I am glad we went with the standard depth. It’s still perfect for lounging without getting stuck in the sofa!
