Depends on how much you want to spend, but in the bathroom I would just paint the vanity and change wall colour.

We needed to redo our shower and opted not to spend the money on a new vanity and painted instead, added new hardware and it’s held up well. And, could not get over how bright and clean the bathroom looked just painting the walls white. We redid two other bathrooms as well. Both vanities were in great condition, once again painted but i changed out the doors to a shaker style and immediately updated the looks of the vanity

Fortunately, style is trending from Modern Farmhouse to Modern Cottage and many of your elements fit right into that trend.

I would consider wallpaper for the wall and changing out the light fixtures. No need to have the light shining up to illuminate an exhaust fan.

@uoflcardinals tagging you in hopes you will see the requests for updates re your Bertazzoni induction range. It looks fantastic! I am actually more interested in the oven performance. I had heard the Bertazzoni ovens were not accurate or were difficult to set the temperatures. What has been your experience?

We’ve had the dual fuel ( Bert) for about 3 years and have had no issues with the oven temp being inaccurate, never any issues with cooking or baking.

Umm it’s his bed and I’m allowed to sleep in it

After losing our beloved, incredibly well trained 14 yr old Maltese terrier mix (adopted from my sister in law who had passed away), I swore i would never get another dog yet within weeks we got a pup. We worked so hard having Charlie sleep in the kennel at night in our room and after a month of him either crying all night or wanting to go outside every few hours we had enough of being sleep deprived - my husband decided to put him on our bed and that was the end of his crying. I was never in favor of a dog on my bed but 8 hours of sound sleep won out. Charlie starts at the end of the bed and works his way up during the night and like others, he shares ‘his’ bed with us

I have the same type of fireplace and have always found it difficult to do anything with. I finally settled on larger size vases - sometimes i remove the bowl and place a print on an easel when i want some color

If you ever do what @Greg Tillotson suggests, it might be a great place for a wall mounted hidden safe with all the dead space behind the ’false’ wall.

I think you need something with height. Usually I’d say a mirror but I’m afraid the tv would reflect in it . I always notice that rooms in media always have greenery. A live medium tall plant would look nice where the cute dog’s bowl is, then perhaps mount a clock, macrame wall hanging,or colorful abstract art over the fireplace , and add a couple smaller plants underneath with some framed photos of your dog.
