Looks very pretty & healthy !
I love the name so much and a really beautiful rose to go along with it
Judi - thank you for posting this rose !! I have two from rvr . One potted one in part sun ground . They both are only 2 years old so nothing great yet but your pics give me hope !! Here is mine today .. the ground one . Which is covered by a vigorous pincushion flower . I love those plants ! But I cut some the other day and realized they are aphid magnets . Like insanely covered in aphids . Not sure if that’s good ( keeping them away from my roses ? Or are they a breeding ground? )
Your photos are so lovely !!!
Wow ! what a feast for the eyes . love everything .
In my opinion both BenT and Hoang Ton get the Award of growing the best roses :)
What a joy it must be to grow roses in perfect conditions where they can show their true potential without disease/insect /weather pressure . Of course you must still put a lot of hard work to produce such amazing bushes .
I especially love your Neil diamond , Well being , Garden Delight , chipp n dale , parfume Royale .
Wow so much beauty in one spot !!!!
Personally I have a soft spot for the modern high centered form roses so your front rose garden is my favorite . But I can appreciate the complexity and variety of the back rose garden , so many colors & forms & growth habits from all over the world .
Especially love your : Golden Opportunity , Abe Darby , Constance ,The Impressionist , Juliet .
Just watched part 1. I loved the narration! I like all the details on how the plants perform. Also like seeing full bush shapes and foliage. Thank you!
Great job! Must be nice to have less bs pressure and no rrd in CA.

A piece of Heaven ! what a beautiful rose garden . What a lot of buds on Princess Charlene De Monaco . I removed Lady in Red & Grand Dame from my yard , both were on Fortuniana and too vigorous & huge .
Thank you Dave, i haven’t been pay much attention to over the edge that much, i guess im too focus on the other roses, i do like the look, the scent, and it last pretty good, the plant itself doesnt seem vigorous, it’s slow growing that’s why i put it down there
What a gorgeous garden! I enjoyed it so much! Thank you for sharing it. So lovely
Hoang
Love all the changing colors . Good to know the performers in FL . I ordered James Austin as replacement for Olivia .
Judi, too early to tell but so far it has been continuous. I'm sure it will slow down once the heat comes.

My Olivia was planted in the ground more than a year ago , it has grown nicely into a 3x3 shrub but unfortnately does not bloom at all .David Austin's Boscobel is near it and was planted at the same time , and blooms constantly . Some European roses require cooler temps to bloom . My climate in central FL is almost tropical with high heat & humidty .
I have a small version of this tool . It works very good at removing weeds but with me bent at the knees . I need to get a longer handle one so I can weed standing up .
I might get this one from Walmart : Skidger titan weeder .
I haven't used either hoe mentioned. But I can't brag enough on the rogue hoe 575G. Get the 60" handle and you can really reach into deep border beds without trampling plants. Also just a great all round hoe. Reminds me of the very well worn hoes my grandpa used to dig potatoes.
I planted an own root Enchanted Peace last year ,but removed it after a few months . The blooms were very small like a floribunda for me , maybe due to our heat .
Pink rose, thanks! Did you take any pics?
l tried looking in my phone but couldnt find any pics !
Lots of blooms ! color looks like Beverly .
what do you use for fertilizer?
I use any monthly slow release fertilizers and weekly fish fertilizer
Oh I think that LoS has the iind of thorns that grab and hang on to you. Prunning her this year I was literally held by hair, arm and shoulder. I was ready to call in the Marines. I think that to me she is worse than Munstead because she is taller with longer canes.
A shame, because the price is right. Right now.
What you posted there could be the Ping Lim rose True Bloom True Inspiration. I have it and it did very well its first year, 2023. Hope it co tinues on course.

Oh my goodness!!!! SUCH beauty!!! I would cry everytime I went out on the deck if I had that in my yard. :) :) I couldn't watch the whole thing, started getting dizzy. Watched too much. lol And you were so kind to put static pictures up. Anyway, my faves were Peggy Martin, The Poet's Wife, Desdemona, Elizabeth, Crocus Rose and Bolero. Truly inspirational and I wish I could grow roses like you do. Amazing!!
What a BEAUTY!!!! I'm in love with your Boscobel!!! Everything you grow is divine. :)
Moses, Pittsburgh, W. PA., zone 5/6, USA — my Husband kindly gifted me the pruning class David Austin offers at the main-store in Wolverhampton as a gift. I attended this recently and learned quite a bit. During rhe course which was lead by one of the gardners with many years experience she mentioned propogating our own roses. She said that it takes 4 cuttings in a pot to make a rose bush like the size we were use to buying. I will include a picture for context. These were 4 I bought last spring from the mainstore - you can see they vary in size a bit. I also added a picture of Geoff Hamilton I bought for context. I’ve added my summer song own root propagated cutting to this post earlier. I’ve been growning that under a grow light for the last six months.
Only if the T shirts say
Ive been Scammed by
Garden Roses LLC
I agree, Kristine. Given their history, I can fully understand why so many on this forum do believe this is an intentional scam. However, there are enough indications to me that they really were intending to run a business this time, but they jumped in headlong and seriously didn’t know how to run a nursery, either from a business or an agricultural standpoint. And they have run aground. It’s very sad and will damage their already ruined reputation. I would like to see them get on their feet, but they will need to first learn under someone else who knows the ropes. Hopefully, they will be able to do this. Trust will not be easy to regain, but if they are willing to be honest, humble, work hard and work under someone who knows how to run a nursery, it could be done.
Cool Roses too in West Palm Beach, FL shipped me roses before charging me maybe a month later .
Yay Judi!! cant wait for you to get them!!
@stillanntn6b im so happy you made contact! I hope he is able to find everything on your wishlist and more! I would suggest taking a pair of short rainboots and some gardening gloves. The rows in the greenhouses can get muddy. And the gloves with help protect his hands from any chemicals if he is sorting through hundreds of treated potted roses. Both of those tips helped me zipthrough my last visit. And if you have any unicorn roses that are not listed on the K&M page, add them tothe list anyway. There are so many surprises to be found in their rows of roses. Please keep us posted!
@judijunebugarizonazn8 Im so happy you were able to get in touch! And yay for her spotting another Pretty Jessica! Please keep us posted when you receive your babies.
We almost always have a mild winter in FL . For myself , I prune any thin or crossing or damaged canes , and a third of each bush because otherwise the roses would grow to be too tall .
Yes, you can and should do some cutting back. I agree with pink rose that about a third is perfect. I actually prune some of my roses that get crazy long canes ( Lady of Shalott) all summer long
Looks like freeze damage to me, do you have a real winter where it freezes hard? You have to cut below the damaged area
Like BenT said , full strength Spinosad is the best treatment for thrips . Or you can use a lower concentrate if you want like Bonide Captain Jack's dead bug brew .
Spinosad didn't work for me. I tried it years ago. Now I just ignore the thrips which get on just a few of my roses, and they are soon gone on their own. The thrips have lessened without any intervention. Roses affected are four Evelyn, The Prince, and Augusta Luise to a lesser degree. Diane
I never had thrips in my last garden but the first year in my new garden was terrible. I’m not sure if the location already had them around or they got introduced by new roses I bought but my three huge potted Mme Ansinette’s and two Boleros that moved with me looked terrible that first year. My Eden and White Eden were fine but they bloomed later when the thrips seem to have most run their course.
Last year I scraped back and replaced the mulch a few inches down on the affected roses and religiously picked off all deformed growth even if it meant no flowers and at the end of the season I replaced the mulch again. This year I’ve had a handful of deformed leaves but no deformed buds yet - fingers crossed since last year at the same time the infection was quite obvious.
All my roses are currently potted which does make controlling the mulch a bit easier but my understanding is even in the ground they don't travel far.
Dave, before i have this rose, Eustacia Vye was my fav DA pink, now I'm not so sure anymore because this one performs just as well if not better. Its fragrance is more consistant. The bush shape is nicer. It's probably my top 2 DA pink.
Update 1
I got one from High Country Roses this Spring . Growing now, hasn't bloomed yet .
Carol, you've got to grow Young Lycidas. SMB looks like a lighter form of YL, which has an incredible scent. Diane
Diane - I did try YL one year. I was too impatient with the floppy canes and got rid of it. I need to learn patience.
Very pretty color & prolific rose !
When I started growing roses a few years back in 2016 , I bought them randomly based on colors/looks . Then Black Spot exploded and almost all of them got infected and defoliated . And I got Spider Mites & Chilli thrips on top of that ! I have S/P most of them since then and like Moses tried to replace them with healthier varieties . Right now mostly I don't have noticeable fungal issues . But Spider Mites & Chilli thrips are there waiting to pounce . If I leave for a vacation , I find they quickly establish themselves when I come back , and the blooms , leaves & bushes look extremely ugly . I tried the organic route but nothing worked . So If I want nice roses I have to spray with chemicals all year except winter .
I don't spray with proprietory fungicides or insectides. I am trying to encourage wildlife in my garden, insect life and bird life. I do use a homemade garlic spray which seems to work pretty well for a week or so. Good against mildew. Choosing healthy cutivars is certainly the way forward. What performs heathily will depend, to some extent, on your own personal garden situation. I guess if people are rose collectors and want a wide range and old roses it might be harder to leave them alone and not intercede with chemical sprays.
In the UK insect and bird numbers have fallen off a cliff and I don't want to be part of the problem.
I don't spray. Never have, never will. Nothing at all. Been growing and propagating roses for 30 years. The more people stop spraying the harder breeders will have to work to breed disease resistant roses. Rose varieties may be regionally disease resistant. No one variety fits all climates for disease resistance.
Elena, Idon't do the spraying myself. I have a handyman who does it. As for fertilizing, I just use a slow release fertilizer (any, i switch around) and supplement with weekly fish fertilizer. Here's what he uses to spray:
Clear 3336F fungicide
0.5 to 1.5 Teaspoon per gallon for spray
Soil drench 0.5 - 1 teaspoon per gallon
Manzate ProStick T&O
1 tablespoon per gallon water
Insecticid: Abamectin 0.15ec add surfactant
1 teaspoon 2 gallons or 8 0z for 100 gallons
or 1/2 for 2 gallons for preventive.
Orthene Insecticide
(1.5 tsp per gallon)
Organic insecticide and fungicide:
1 pound garlic, 1 pound hot pepper, 1 pound ginger
1/5 gallon of alcohol 70%
all blend together and stain before use.
3 Tablespoons per gallon water
He rotates them.
Rosette DeLizy
Poor Abe Darby and its parasite Fortuniana roostock that is taking over. I give up trying to remove all the suckers. OR...Maybe Abe is technically the Parasite on Fort..anyhow they do look sweet together lol.
Young Lycidas ..ignore all the weeds :0
Distant Drums
Tess
Pat Austin
Spirit of Freedom
Fighting Temeraire..2nd bloom..over 7 inches just a little bigger than the first bloom was..kinda messed up from all the wind
Pink Clouds..once used as rootstock...I have a goat doeling who takes a little nibble of this rose every morning..she sneaks out the gate and makes a run for the front of the barn where her favorite rose is..there's dozens of roses out there but this one is the one she loves lol.
This baby momma and her little chicks were busy today digging like crazy looking for bugs.
pink rose, mostly Miracle Gro potting mix,
pink rose,I use slow release fertilizer (like rose tone or knockout rose food) and supplement it with werkly fish fertilizer, im surprise that Boscobel is being stingy with you, i suspect that it your growing zone might be a bit too hot for it, my boscobel blooms turn into almost single-petals blooms in the summer
pink rose, ORA actually blooms better when it was new lol, first year i was like whoa a must have, now it's no thanks, there are better
pink rose Fl, have you tried giving Olivia some Bloom Booster fertilizer? She may need more phosphorus (a higher middle # in the NPK ratio) Water her good then hit her with some Miracle Grow Bloom Booster..it seems to work well for me even with potted roses. If you are totally organic just look or an organic with a higher phosphorus # than the other ingredients.
I trim my Olivia back after a flush, then fertilze again.
Scentuous today in my garden, both plant and bloom are very beautiful.
