I gave up on one video with a title like "this tinted moisturizer is MAGIC for women over 60"

Plus, she is 47...

So I go away for a day and the thread takes a turn!

Interesting. I went back and watched the video I linked again and I didn’t see underwear. I had to back and look at more of her videos. I only watch the shorts and it's just glimpse, YMMV. Again my genre is 99% Homeworthy/Quintessence/AD so not sure, but I think it is not that unusual for influencers who show themselves trying on clothes to start in undergarments at times. Maybe the younger ones moreso.. I know no one on Homeworthy has been in undies, to that much I can attest.

As for the impact on her young son, I am reminded of Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart’s famous line about defining obscenity, i.e “I know it when I see it.” There is no sexual intent and factually, she is more modestly clad than most people on beaches. I see nothing wrong with it. And, for me, if there is “nothing wrong with it,” then there is nothing wrong with it for a Mom, either.

My point about Taryn was how she looked into the camera, as if anticipating her detractors and said “yes, I have lumps, it’s fine.” I loved that little matter of fact aside. Teaching women to “make peace” with their imperfections. And I thought she looked great. You don’t need to be perfect.

By contrast, based on the description of the postings by the classmate’s Mom mentioned above, it seems to be intentionally sexual. That's embarrassing no matter what she has on.

Also by contrast the woman below is fully dressed, yet I find her to be inappropriate and an embarrassment to her children. And her parents. And her neighbors. And her president. And her countrymen!

And we have come full circle now!

Look at the Osprey Fairview travel backpack. It has all the features, like a hip belt, that make it comfortable to carry.

If you belong to REI you can buy it with their one year no questions asked return policy.

Of the two I mentioned, the Tucano Tugo weighs 1.5 lbs. The Noamtic comes in at 4 lbs. When I travel, I’m all about weight, which is why I carry the Tucano and DD carries the Nomatic.

Check the airlines you will be flying on your trip. Some have weight limits for carry-ons.

Below is a chart that is neither exhaustive nor necessarily accurate, but will give you some idea of the limitations some airlines impose. I would check the website of the airline I’m flying for the most current and accurate information.

Thank you for the additional suggestions. The Osprey Fairview is too big, but a trip to REI (there's one not too far from me) would allow me to try out other models.

Thanks for the reminder, Bbstx. I usually don't worry about weight domestically, but I'll be packing carefully for this trip to use only a carry-on. Weight may come into play.

I never took advantage of mail order pharmacy in the past because it seemed like a bit of a PITA for little savings. However A’zon made it so easy like most everything else they do. When you order they give you a price with or without insurance and you can pick the best one. It appears they use the same US drug wholesalers as everyone else so not like the rest of A’zon where you have all kinds of weird brands from who knows where.

I mistakenly thought there was one big W’greens database from which you could seamlessly fill a prescription at any W store in the country. That was not the case for me.

So far A seems easy enough as long as I can manage to pick the right shipping address.

Thanks, again, for posting @3katz4me. I placed my first order today. Amz was 30% cheaper than CVS for my generic and now I don’t have to hassle the tiny parking lot of my closest CVS.

Kitschykitch & Kswl,

thank you for thinking of me . things are getting a bit better every day. there are times i can go a few days and manage quite well and then for no reason I go to pieces.

but that said i do see more light at the end of the tunnel.

i realize now that i still have a daughter and grand daughter that need me so I am working hard on trying to stay strong for them and i guess myself.

i am lucky to have them and am trying to be positive and count my blessings.

i know my DH would have wanted that.

" IDK, I am not sure why that is bad? Factory housing has a long tradition. Why do you think it is bad? "

For the same reason tying health insurance to employment is bad, and for the same reason company housing was bad: A person should not be reliant on an employer for something so fundamental to their (and their family's) lives. It encourages people to take and stay in bad jobs (I don't mean unpleasant jobs, I mean jobs with abusive bosses, bullying coworkers, or unsafe conditions) because it means they won't have to move out of the area. A supervisor or boss who fired someone, for legitimate or illegitimate reasons, would also be uprooting an entire family. The flip side is that tenant complaints could mean a job loss when your landlord is also your employer.

There have always been people who lied, cheated, and took advantage of others, and I'm pretty sure there aren't any more now than there were 30, 50, or 80 years ago.

There have been a lot of studies that show that income inequality reduces civic honesty, so I am not sure that we don't have more dishonesty today than we had 30, 50 years ago. We have not had such great income disparity in the United States since prior to WWII.

Whenever I'm having a bad day, I remember the isle of Banda, April 2, 1778. They had a typhoon, an earthquake and a volcanic eruption all on the same day. Now *that's* a bad day!

Ollie Jane, imho, being a science nerd has nothing to do with an interest in science fiction, Star Wars or anything of that genre. I personally do not like any of those, but as an engineer greatly appreciate astronomy, space and space exploration, and anything STEM really.

Never use fabric softener or dryer sheets with towels - they cost the fibers leading to s lack of absorbency.

I used mine last year for the annular eclipse, and I'm saving them for the August 2026 total solar eclipse in Spain.😊

Alisande - we were at our place in PA for the weekend. We dropped DS off at Silver Lake in Dingman's on Friday for opening day of trout season and then picked him up on Monday. We had planned on watching the eclipse there with his college buddies so I ordered 10 pair. The first 15 minutes were great. Then the clouds rolled in and .....nothing. So disappointing.

That's a shame, Maire_Cate. My grandsons were psyched to watch it, and we had sunshine until about 2:00 p.m. Didn't expect those clouds.

Eating pizza is self destructive?

Actually, I think pizza is one of Nature's most perfect foods. But I have diabetes. On the other hand, life without any pizza at all is just misery. It's like those people who want to live to be very very old but in order to achieve it they give up many of things that make them happy. Not just a little backsliding like me, but completely.

I've loved your fashion choices and the shows and as a true friend I will veto those jeans for you. Honestly they look like they were made wrong to me but at the very least they require more of a tush than you have ;-) The rest of the items are great, just need a different pair of jeans - you are cute as a button!
