I would just pull the sofa forward so it doesn't look so jammed into the corner and put a narrow sofa table behind it with a much larger lamp and hang a nice piece of art above the table to balance it. Get a radiator cover/shelf so you can use it as an end table. Move the ottoman to the center and use like a coffee table or replace it with a smaller one, or ditch it and get a smallish glass coffee table.

The body color looks like a good choice. If you want a change, you could make the Tudor boards lighter, but because of the brick you should still be leaning tan/brown. You can lean a little green if you want to. Look at SW Urbane Bronze 7048. Move up the color chip to lighter colors if that's the way you want to go. Paint the front door the same color as the boards. The blue isn't the best choice. Originally the door would have been natural wood.

Ugh sounds dreadful. Construction is tough enough without all the additional drama, sorry you are going through that. This shower will (hopefully) work fine, so I’d post lots of pictures on review sites and move on. He’s shown that he doesn’t care. Maybe someone else will have more creative suggestions.

It’s looking beautiful, Lyndsey, love your choices. The tile colors in the arched bath are so lovely, and the wallpaper is fabulous.

There are a lot of items to address in this room. Paint and wallpaper will not fix all the issues.

First, please relocate the area rug so the front legs of the sofa are on the rug.

Second, move your sofa so that there is at least a hand's width of space before it reaches the window sill.

Next, I would consider drapes to add color to your room.

I'd add chests to either side of the FP with colorful art above.

I'd add a round mirror over your fireplace for sparkle

I'd only paint the wall behind the TV an accent color.

Still need some landscaping completed but this how we tackled it. We went with the asymmetrical look, better to just own it, but tried to create some balance and a purposeful relation between the columns and the house. They no longer cover the door or windows.
