Good suggestions from Lampert Dias Architects, Inc. as well as some others. It wouldn't take much to add trim and new style windows to make it look like a craftsman. I like the earthy colors suggested. Here are some other options:

I like the simple windows with dark brown sashes on this house:

Concerning the landscaping, you have some nice plants now, but they could benefit from being relocated - especially the reddish small tree or bush by the door.

@oleigh For the counter top we are looking at Quartzites and are thinking of either Super White or White Princess. For the backsplash, we're still looking. Thanks for your comment.

@snobunyz24 we looked at the Decorators White, but the blue undertone doesn't work for the look scheme we want to achieve. Thanks for your comment.

I agree, get rid of contrasting tile I shower, in 3 years that fad will be over. Fill w tile from rest of the shower. Change Bathroom wall between vanity and sink and paint color. Rest of the materials look fabulous!,

Dune White may also be a good colour, or White Wisp. :)

I agree the wall color needs to be changed. Your contractor needs to be told that the time has come to deal with the contrasting band in the shower. To me, it is jarring. I like the window but agree it needs to be same neutral color as walls. I would like to see more shine or sparkle in here as the floor seems dull, so I would choose a wall color with some life to it. There will be a huge improvement when there is a mirror and glass shower door is in place. I would not choose a mirror with a heavy frame. Please, no grey! Your bathroom will come together beautifully.

BM blue lake! Pics from young house love. Red looks the same AND they have black shutters. I think the house looks more finished with them

Yes your trim is white, I was thinking the iron railing and posts would look good black, being metal and not wood would differ between the two materials.

@otis: Yes, painting the downspouts the brick color will be fine. You can also use a bronze color as it blends into the brick. There are a bunch of downspout colors to coordinate with your brick. It disappears when you blend the color like so:

I like that turquoise door that snobunyz posted above. If that is too bright, try a green door.

Is this a pocket door? I would have the aviary immediately across from door when you walk in, so you see the mirror and room appears bigger. To the left of the vanity is the toilet, and against the wall to the left of the door, the toilet.

Comparing between those two would it be nice to have option two with a rectangular bath instead of the corner one ?

Hi Ameena You mentioned that you wanted lots of counter space. The versions that you have posted allow for very little space. Also the vertical and horizontal lines are not sleek. The two versions I posted allow you enough space for double sinks so, with one, they are generous countertops.Your toilet uses up lots of space. If you don't want to see the toilet, my posting on the right, allows you to build a small frosted glass panel so that the toilet is hidden. but doesn't block the light from the window.Your versions, put the shower in an awkward space...However, this is only food for your thought. I can give you my ideas, but you need to feel what is right for you...All the bestAntoinette

I would pull all furniture away from the wall. I did not see a tv so this is just a sitting room? Would center in the room, have th couch and two chairs facing each other, conversation style w coffee table in the middle

Is that a door or a big window on the back wall to a side yard? Maybe consider having two chairs with back to the hallway, loves eat across from them and leave a clear view out that beautiful arched window ( and the most just put a little side table under it

*love seat across from the two chairs. Can try them face on from the sofa and not angled, room to still walk in the room around, and between chairs

I agree to try it without the blue (the exception being the whimsical pillow).

The room is so dark and I love how the yellow art brightens it up. I think the yellow pillows will help also.

The yellow is the "sweet spot" here for me too. It was a good art choice!
