Bummer about your machine! I had that happen to me at one of the retreats. Lucky for me, Jackie had a spare machine I could use. When I got home, my repair shop had a used one that worked with my machine and was cheaper than getting a new circuit board on the old foot.

Love the bricks!

I've not seen that pattern before...I like it! Irritating when your tools for the job don't work like they are supposed to 😖

You certainly have been busy! Lots of scraps being used and they are all turning out great.

LOL! I was going through the photos on my ipad and discovered I made this quilt once before, two years ago. I have no recollection of doing that. Old age does things to your memory.

I think I have the foot pedal working again, yay!, but my actual right foot needs repair.

The base of my foot , that pad of flesh under the big toe, is inflamed. Now did I overuse my foot on the foot pedal, these past few weeks, or do I have gout?? Dr. isn’t quite sure which it is but I guess I really do have to take a break. A good time to clean up ’the mess’.

Theresa, I really like that scrappy pattern. It's on my not so short list of ones to make. Try increasing you water intake, that will help if it is gout.

Glad you and your quilts made it safe! Bummer about your freezer, though.

I never trust US mail for sending something as precious as a quilt. If I cannot hand deliver, I always sent FedEx with tracking/delivery confirmation. Still, it's a highly stressful process when you can't hand the recipient the quilt.

Yes, numbers dwindled for all my online groups. Facebook participation ended most of them. It's a shame. They were infinitely more interesting than Facebook.

Lois, yes the numbers of participants dwindled by 2017. But we did try to keep it going until 2019 when it was decided that Block Lotto had reached its ‘expiration date.’ And in that last year, we did not do an exchange but rather made the suggested block of the month and as the months went by, had enough blocks for our own quilt, in our own colours. The blocks to be made were suggested by Forum members, one per month.

It was an interesting take on the original Block Lotto project.

I was sorry to see the original plan be discontinued but, as you say, participants numbers dwindled and it was a challenge to keep it going.

HaHaHa, Jackie. You know I'm a solid sleeper when people come in my room to see if I'm still breathing while taking a nap. Get up and drive to buy fabric??? LOLOLOL

Theresa, When it's difficult to sew, I sit in my sewing chair and use the tabletop board to press. It's convenient because these are scraps and a big board isn't needed. Very handy. Yes, pinched nerve going down my left arm. When it first started it felt like an electric current going down my arm. No cure, pain clinic didn't work, but by whining to a few quilting friends, they have given me ideas for OTC options that help get me through the day. Heating pad on my neck and around my arm is very helpful. Fortunately I'm right handed. There's always something to be thankful for. Our God is merciful.

At least it wasn't Sunbonnet Sue blocks. It seems to me that she made the rounds!

Theresa, you’re on a roll. That’s a great idea for a scappy quilt. I can’t wait to see #2.

I've been thinking about this and thought, just maybe, it could be sewn together like the Jelly-Roll Race pattern except using your bricks. Just keep sewing the ends of your bricks together. Hmmmmm, I need to do some cutting...... lol
