Love her! So refreshing.... I often think the best accessory you can wear is confidence. I've known some fabulous looking women who don't adhere to any trends or 'rules' -but they always look great, and I often think it's the way they carry themselves. Instead of apologizing for various flaws, appearing self-conscious, etc., they are fun and focused on other people. It's something to behold.

OK...not beauty related, but this felt validating and I think her timing is great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=pYATh3Evcm0

Thanks for sharing that. If you don’t mind saying, what is her background that led to such an interesting job?

I really like it when there is a schematic of the floorplan included, and find myself clicking back and forth between that and photos I am studying. It sounds like you've been really thoughtful about your photo selection, which is clearly not always the case, so I bet you have a terrific collection for prospective buyers.

In the last ~10 years I've sold 2 homes and bought 2 others....and I also love to look at listings online and do so every day.

My experience as both a buyer and seller - and interested bystander - is that well done photos are always a plus. How can they not be? Some realtors do a fine job, others have apparently no skills or interest in showcasing a home properly. (Why I don't know, it would seem like it should be important to them. But I've seen photos that a real estate agent voluntarily put up online for all the world to see that were appalling...so....)

I'm also friends with a professional photographer so have a bias in that direction. However the photos she does of homes are beautiful. They're never stretched out or deliberately altered - she knows how to make photos look nice, good color, good composition, etc. - and yet they're still real, if that makes any sense at all.

In terms of how many, it sounds like yours is a larger home so I think ~31 is reasonable. Sometimes I do think less is more...I don't need to see 4 shots of a standard sized secondary bedroom with a window and a closet and no other defining features. :) I'm seeing some listings online now that put up 100 photos and that's just too much IMO. Leave some mystery! LOL.

I think you’re on the right track, 3katz. I pretty much agree with what you’ve said, and with what Ally De and Mtn wrote. For the most part, when looking at secondary bedrooms, most people just want to see that there is a certain size bed in there, a closet, and still room to move around.

For the past couple of years, many decent houses around here have been sold to people who never did a walk-through of the house at all. I cannot imagine doing that unless the house was new, but it’s been real estate craziness here.

I don't think I would have given her back considering the lack of care. I am so sorry for you AND the dog.

I‘d imagine most people who go on diets are either dealing with health issues or trying to avoid them. People like me didn't get to where we are because of one slice of pizza a month. I ate healthy food but I ate a lot more than that. Seems like each time I went to the cardiologist he'd up a dose or add a new drug. Now in the span of just a few months my BMI is down over 6 points and I’m off of two medications with the doctor’s blessing. How? No, not by counting calories or going hungry. By eating HEALTHY food and mostly avoiding BAD.

Florence is a sweet dog and fortunately, they fostered to see if she was a "fit". These damn puppy mills are the ruin of so many dogs' lives ,and I know living among the Amish's hideous puppy mills. When the female is done breeding, they usually shoot her. This dog needs a very quiet sedentary life. The right dog will come along for the family. There are so many out there. Good luck to the family !

I kinda agree with Elmer. After reading online of someone's baby dying or being seriously ill, I was taken back to realize it was their pet. Not that that isn't a very sad occasion, but it's their pet. I have had 18 cats and four dogs and I have loved every single one, a few more than even some family members and I grieve and still do for them after their deaths. But I never referred to any of them as my baby.

Thank you for all the nice supportive comments. We did think possibly the dog was not well, but she had been checked out by 2 different vets...so yes it was puzzling. It's my daughter's family and issue, but yes she did feel that the rescue (which is a definite legit one) was not the most forthcoming. They had said good with kids, very sweet etc and it turned out that apart from being so much older, she had not lived with kids in the prior foster home. She had met some kids and was sweet. The prior foster also had said she loved being outside and while not leash trained would spend a lot of time outside. When DD had her outside, she wouldn't even go on the grass but would come right back up the stairs wanting to come back inside. So yes all the comments about the rescue are spot on.

Still, very sad and a very sweet dog. I really hope they do place her with an older household.

I know DD will find the right dog too.

You did your part,. You told them you had children and a very busy household. They were so desperate to place the dog, they hoped for the best and lost. A leasr she was not a bitter and agressive. You can tell them that. She was just so streesed, she would not eat or drink.

Yes, she needs a very quiet home with only adults and no kids, like our house.

Thanks for this update. I still hadn’t gotten around to ordering the Perbelle, and now I may just hold off on that, and order the DRMTLGY BB cream instead.
