I will be the lone dissenter on ceiling fans in kitchens. Not sure why everyone thinks they're taboo. I have them in two kitchens, and they serve their purpose--moving the air around in a room that can get very stuffy.
In case any of you ever get an itch to disassemble a hat, this was fast and easy. I didn't use standard hot glue. My hot glue is for heavy duty projects, not arts and crafts. It all appears to be pretty sturdy.
The last photo is a closeup of the seam and glue.
Kitschykitch & Kswl,
thank you for thinking of me . things are getting a bit better every day. there are times i can go a few days and manage quite well and then for no reason I go to pieces.
but that said i do see more light at the end of the tunnel.
i realize now that i still have a daughter and grand daughter that need me so I am working hard on trying to stay strong for them and i guess myself.
i am lucky to have them and am trying to be positive and count my blessings.
i know my DH would have wanted that.
Yuck to OJ. Sympathy to his children. Peace to the Ron Goldman family.
I will never forget the astonished look on lawyer Robert Kardashian’s face when the verdict was read. Very revealing to anyone who didn’t already have a clue.
At least he died with hospice and pain medication, in relative comfort, as opposed to how he slaughtered his victims.
Too bad the trial was so mucked up. Too bad that years later the hat and glove were not tested for his DNA. (And why weren’t they? Not too late. Truth, science and all that good stuff.)

I saw the slow chase on the 405 freeway because I happened to be crossing that freeway at that time. I believe I was on La Tijera, but it was so long ago that I cannot remember exactly. Anyway, at the time, I had no idea what was going on, but it did look very strange to me.
I thought that the trial was a travesty, which is not that unusual, as trials go - so many times innocent people have been convicted and put away for years, especially before DNA evidence was available.
I was shocked by how many people at work thought he was innocent, and I think his smirk made him look especially evil, but the evidence spoke for itself. Like many wealthy people, he got off because of technicalities - not because of innocence.
"My default is to disbelieve, not believe"
The police didn't believe a woman I knew or didn't care when a boyfriend broke her arm. She tried to file charges but they just took away his guns, and gave them back a week later. I started dating her a few months later and he kept calling her nonstop to come and visit him but I convinced her it was dangerous and she never did, thank god.
A few months later the guy Shoots and killed his new girlfriend who was leaving him and then shot himself. My girlfriend was traumatized and left me because how could she trust any man? I left her alone and a few months later we reunited and married in 1996.
The Victim's name was Jennifer Noack, and the killer's name was Duane F. Arbuckle, it happened in Crystal MN on October 16, 1993.
The only reference I could find was in the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women.
"Jennifer Noack, 23 Crystal October 16, 1993. Jennifer was shot and killed by her boy friend,Duane F. Arbuckle, who then shot and killed himself. Jennifer had just started a
graduate program at the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire and worked in the Twin
Cities on weekends. She was breaking up with Arbuckle and had gone to his apartment
to pick up some belongings. When she didn't show up for work on Saturday morning the police were called."
Elmer, I'm not judging you on your comment but 1 in 3 women have faced some type of Physical violence by a partner and a claim of abuse should always be believed by default.

Wow, what a fabulous job. I can't believe it's the same table.
Gorgeous. Now you'll have to figure out where to put all the stuff that was covering it!
Edited to add - Hope the refinisher doesn't have too many Insta followers thinking it was you that trashed that nice table!
Wow, that's amazing!
I wish I knew of or could find a good refinsher. I have a large burl wood coffee table with inlay that I just adore. It's my favorite piece of furniture. I would love to have it refinished to fix some small mishaps but I am afraid of it being ruined.

@Funkyart I can truly empathize with your vision problems. I elected to wait until this year to have them removed and it could not have come soon enough. I am surprised how bright and clear things are now. I will be having my rt eye done at month end .
Outfit alert! I had planned to wear the black jacket with slacks and skirts, but when I pulled out this dress to wear to church tomorrow I realized it would be perfect!
It’s going to be cold tomorrow so I will probably wear black stockings with this. I am thrilled that these two pieces work so well together. The dress by itself is one of my favorites
but now I can’t imagine wearing it without the jacket!
Crustless quiche. Frittata. Ham loaf. Muffinless eggs Benedict. If you can stand a little carb, crepes made with low carb flour filled with chopped ham in a cheese sauce (there are recipes for flourless cheese sauce, Heston Blumenthal's is good).
The bone should fit in your crockpot as there should be a joint in there. I get a 7kg ham for Christmas every year.
She was such a sweet lady. RIP Glenda.
I am so sorry to hear this. I was just thinking about her.
I haven't seen her post in a while. She will be very missed. I will get her a empty chair. Sending condolences to her family.
She was such a help to people and shared great recipes and cooking advice.
