If enough people flag it I think it will disappear. Inappropriate or abusive is my reason.
Oly, thank you for sharing your lovely conversation. The amaryllis story is one you will never forget. We can only wish for a peaceful passage for your friend, and comfort for her friends and family.
Your friends mom sounds like she is a wonderful woman and has had a great and interesting life. She is able to say good-bye to family, loved ones and friends while she is still able to do so. She's' probably aware of what the rest of her life would be like trying to beat a disease that will be painful, and uncomfortable. She's fortunate that she is in a place where she is able to have the choice. Hugs to her friends and family.
In Canada we are lucky to have that choice as well although here it's termed assisted death/dying rather than suicide.
Turn the nightstand 90 degrees, parallel to the bed vs perpendictular.
It’s rare I buy avocados since we have a tree.☺️ I’m assuming the tiny ones you got are Hass…? Occasionally the small ones show up due to weather conditions. They’re perfectly good and tend to ripen faster. For me, the best thing to do with avocados is not much. Sometimes just s&p can be enough for me.
We have neighbors down the street with a big box of really nice Hass avocados out in front by the curb. They have a container for money and brown paper bags. Their sign also says to ”Feel free to just take some if you don’t have any cash.” They’ve do it frequently.
I would do a fully permitted and inspected pergola. And find a source for solid stainless sheeting for the roof--not galvanized. Which I would use a car buffer to polish until it shone like a mirror. Facing them.

I had yellow correct in my mind but mistakenly clicked on the wrong word - starts with the same letter. 🙄

I hesitate to have things sitting in a workroom somewhere before they are ready to use it
I thought the same thing.
I sent them pics showing how much yardage they sent. They sent what was clearly an autogenerated autoreply offering me 15% off. Umm, I am missing half my yardage.
Note to self - next time you buy anything from SnL, email them to complain. Send a photo of your dog. They will automatically send you a 15% refund.
excerpt from book (The Collected Regrets of Clover) I am reading:
'If you want something you don't have,' he'd said 'you have to do something you've never done'
I have always heard it the opposite way (If You Always Do What You've Always Done, You'll Always Get What You've Always Got), and the above is far more inspiring.
In answer to @salonva’s picture, that part of your brain is now being used to store 1,000 different passwords and PINs.
@Annie Deighnaugh, 99! Wow! Happy Birthday to your mother.
Annie, my cousin actually had a pool party like that. She showed me a picture of it. A bunch of her friends came over and brought kids' inflatable pools. They set up a bar in the yard and people lounged around visiting in the pools. It looked like a blast.
Have you thought about leaving one shelf with the mirror behind it? I think the sparkle and reflection of glasses really adds some life to a bar. All mirror can look chaotic.
How about a Kate Golding paper? She has such great small patterns. https://www.kategolding.ca/abundant-springtime-collection
*not peel and stick but if you love the pattern, well, it’s a small project…
Outdated makes me think I might go the other direction. My mother's, her mother's, and maybe even another generation before. They're empty, but maybe it would be better if they were used?
My trunk can't be popped from inside unless you have the fob. I've been shopping for a new car and have rejected many models that are no longer being made available in a sedan. They are 4 door coupes now that give access to the trunk from the inside of the car. I want a secure trunk, so no SUVs either for me.
All I'm saying to everyone, is don't assume that you have outwitted the bad guys. They are pros and know all the tricks that you've never thought of. Better to be constantly alert.
And I'm reminded of the many posts on our local nextdoor.com from people complaining that someone 'broke into' their unlocked car overnight and stole an iPad, money, etc. - and they get really huffy when commenters point out the obvious
Same here. It always amazes me. Can't imagine not locking my house or car.
Oh, that is so tragic for her and the rest of his family. I imagine outliving a child is one of the most difficult things a parent can go through.
Heartfelt condolences to you and your friend.
So sad. I get the idea, though, that this family knew how to LIVE, not just let the days pass by. That's some small consolation in this time of sorrow. Your friend is lucky to have you -- and you to have her.
Saw them many, many years ago - when Judith Jamison was dancing. It was marvelous 🙂
I saw them several times many years ago. I recall the performances as awe inspiring.
