I don't think I would have given her back considering the lack of care. I am so sorry for you AND the dog.
I'm sorry for you nicole but I am crushed for poor Palerna and furious at the dipsh*t owners.
My best product so far is denial...
Vitamin c serum, retinol (and of course sunscreen)
@sueb20 I generally use Cleveland Clinic or Mayo for medical info. Here's what Cleveland Clinic says about HA. My dermatologist is in favor of it. But it's not the only ingredient in moisturizers I use. I think the main thing is it really helps your skin hold the moisture.
- It helps keep things hydrated. Hyaluronic acid is very good at retaining water. A quarter-teaspoon of hyaluronic acid holds about one and a half gallons of water. That’s why hyaluronic acid is often used for treating dry eyes. It’s also used in moisturizing creams, lotions, ointments and serums.
- It makes your skin flexible. Hyaluronic acid helps skin stretch and flex and reduces skin wrinkles and lines. Hyaluronic acid is also proven to help wounds heal faster and can reduce scarring.
So lovely! I was worried when they started the tour that the interiors would be dark, because the entry and den seemed quite dark to me. But all of the other spaces were bright, and those views!!😍 Stunning
What a gorgeous house and setting. Love everything about it — the materials, the organic feel, the design, all of it. It’s so serene.
I could move in today and wouldn’t change a thing.
If y’all need me, I’ll be reading on my chaise, overlooking the pool.
Or in my tub, overlooking the gardens.
Thank you for sharing, Fun!
Love the pool, the big windows, the pool and of course the view.
But I really don't like anything else. Not an MCM fan. It always feels too cold/sterile to me.
Can we talk about the sliding doors opening a room to the outside? I love the concept and I love the look, but I don't know how it works in real life. Here my house would be filled with bugs, squirrels and probably birds.
Your bathroom turned out so pretty!! I like the anthro blue…it’s a bit softer to me, more spa-like.
My eyes are drawn to the TJMaxx blue. The pale blue is so pretty, but looks a bit washed out to me. It seems like the cabinet would wind up being the darkest thing in the room, and the darker blue kind of balances that out, IMO.
Interesting- thank you for the feedback. When I looked earlier, the Anthro was the clear . I do really like it (except that I have not seen it in person) and was going to order it, but since it's backordered I got cold feet. Yes, I think Mtn did suggest it and I do love it.
I think the TJM blue is more harmonious, but it doesn't do anything for me, even though I am the biggest blue person.
I saw like Oly that the red was sort of unexpected and looked really nice with the wood of the vanity.
Eld, I did a partial reveal but figure I'll wait until tub is in and also the mirror I got, is not tall enough. I selected SW North Star. for the paint- a blue gray.
Well it IS tall enough but it had to cover electric box from the light bar so it's too far from the vanity. I ordered similar mirror just 4 inches taller so that needs to be changed out. Also we decided since they have to come back to install the tub, that we should use the shower and see what makes sense for grab bars.
Whoever suggested Kohler, thank you. They are so much more attractive than many others.
I guess I'll order the anthro rug and whenever it gets here, it will get here. I may keep the red TJM for now, and or use some white otton woven mats for the time being.
Kitschykitch & Kswl,
thank you for thinking of me . things are getting a bit better every day. there are times i can go a few days and manage quite well and then for no reason I go to pieces.
but that said i do see more light at the end of the tunnel.
i realize now that i still have a daughter and grand daughter that need me so I am working hard on trying to stay strong for them and i guess myself.
i am lucky to have them and am trying to be positive and count my blessings.
i know my DH would have wanted that.
I do!
A few years ago, DH had to pick something up in Wal-Mart (I can’t remember what). I hadn’t been in one in years.
I browsed around while waiting and came across these nice, heavy, pottery-style Better Homes & Gardens bowls. They were very inexpensive.
We needed pasta, salad, soup, etc bowls so I bought two to try. Loved them, went back for more …. all gone.
I use these daily! I’m so mad at myself for not getting a set of four or six.
I have a set of little bowls (like prob 3/4 c size) that are adorable and vintage and match my kitchen cabinet color exactly. I use them for so many things, and they are great for portion control. Ice cream, nuts, etc. Good for prep bowls, too.
In the non-bowl category, I use my big Tervis cup all day, every day. I just fill and refill it with water from mid morning (after coffee) til I go to bed.
My favorite bowls for soup or to offer nuts & snacks. unfortunately 3 from the original set of 4 now are glued back together and suitable for only select use, Sadly, the potter is no longer local. Love the hemisphere shape, color, matte glaze.
I saw this similar style paper on IG a few weeks ago:
I like the one you posted more, though.
I like the sofa, too. And tiger chair. And lamp. :D And really admire anyone who can hang that paper so well! I’d love it for my fantasy sunroom.
Thanks for sharing, Gizmo, I’ve missed seeing you around.
It made me grow a third arm, I just didn’t want to say anything.
Anyway, it’s a bonus. I always need another hand to do things.
Thank you, chisue. I find it easier and gentler to be kind and think positively these days than always be looking for the negative. I guess it’s my older age, although i can find the snark if the situation arises.
Not everybody needs to live in single family or detached housing, I think that's part of it.
I find it rather boorish to point out typos.
Yes, dee, thank goodness it was explained to us. I would’ve wondered for days.
This reminds me of what Target offered me the other day as bonuses "just for you". I just started laughing. I have never purchased any of these items or anything related at Target. The algorithm is not healthy :)
Oh my gosh….that is a gorgeous table!! They did an amazing job.
Gorgeous. Now you'll have to figure out where to put all the stuff that was covering it!
Edited to add - Hope the refinisher doesn't have too many Insta followers thinking it was you that trashed that nice table!
Wow, that's amazing!
I wish I knew of or could find a good refinsher. I have a large burl wood coffee table with inlay that I just adore. It's my favorite piece of furniture. I would love to have it refinished to fix some small mishaps but I am afraid of it being ruined.
Decided yesterday to head to VT and
view eclipse with DD. It was amazing, so worth camping out in her and BF’s small apartment. Viewed from the edge of Lake Champlain in Burlington. Pictures do not come close to capturing it.
We had 100% totality in NNY with thin, high clouds. The second pic is during totality, it looked like a sunset in the sky, but facing due north.
what an interesting experience. As partial totality approached, the temperature dropped and the birds were silent. The clouds parted enough to see it . It was clear for the beginning and end. Here’s a photo i took through my glasses near the beginning
So very calm, relaxing AND beautiful.
Beautiful rooms! Perfect blend of elegant and comfortable.
Very nice! Love the new bed & chaise.
I'm going to a "Spring Fling" April 20th. I'd like to find rabbit themed plates for $1.50. Wouldn't THAT be cute!!!!!!!!!
That is a really pretty bag @funkyart!
We are spending a few days on Florida's Atlantic coast in early May. Anyway, we traveled to upstate NY in Feb and reading this, I remembered my tote was an absolute airport pain. I was juggling a smaller purse and a smaller dog at times and it kept slipping down my arm, tilting when put down and spilling, even with a snap at the top. I looked at Maika, which I hadn't known about and purchased a commuter tote, not this pattern but this shape. It's coming this week and I figure it will always work for library book hauling. Thanks for the recommendation!
I did get a Maika lunch tote for DD for Christmas. I thought it was very cute! As far as I know, she is using it every day and likes it.
Another fun bag resource -- made from recycled billboards. I have bought a few of these as gifts, and have a tote that I used at our beach cottage. So fun to look at the different patterns and colors.
Incredibly impressive!! You must be one proud mama!
Thanks for sharing that. If you don’t mind saying, what is her background that led to such an interesting job?
Oh she is lovely, obviously very smart and presents so well on the screen! I agree that is a very cool job. You must be so proud and happy for her!
