I waited too long and could only get point cut- probably first time trying. Baked it with a mustard/ brown sugar/onion powder/ paprika coating and it was delicious! (the tipsyhousewife.org)
Mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and cabbage braised in cider/vinegar.
Sliced a leftover piece of CB today & seeing all the marbled fat- no wonder it was so good!
Thanks for the info. I've seen the parades on TV your side and always thought it was funny. I suppose that wearing orange could be seen as quite aggressive or partisan if you were in northern Ireland but surely children in the U.S. should not have those reactions. Sad really.
I do have Irish ancestors, my maiden name was Traynor and my ancestors came here via Canada from County Meath. My great-great-great (I think that's the right amount of "greats") Grandmother was Bridget Murphy, LOL. In spite of that genetic background we never actually "celebrated" St. Patrick's Day as an Irish thing, it really is just an American excuse to have a party, I think!
