Can't directly help, but look closely at the knock offs. The PB Teen has a 6" top opening but you can't really tell how the hardware is affixed for the bulb. A number of cheap ones have an odd hole off to one side to access the bulb. These can be photographed online to almost hide this hole. The Moooi is resin soaked fiberglass, the PBT is treated paper. I've long thought to make one. Some look more refined than others. If hung close to the ceiling, a low cost one may be fine.
A relative used to make Easter baskets that looked similar, using a spool of cord and some kind of glue mixture. It was wrapped around an inflated balloon which was popped after the project dried. I looked on line a while ago and there are craft projects making lights in a similar fashion but using inflatable balls and cheap hanging lamp parts (like IKEA cord sets).

Knockoffs aren't as dense but not bad for the price.
