Dsimber is there a UV filter in your windows? Maybe that is causing the color to change??
Affirmation of this choice of colors...this has been in a saved folder for a long time. Just remembered it tonight. 😊❤️
Loving "Bleeker Beige," Julie. Thank you! 🥰
wonderful!
Hi pink!
I walked by my daughters room today and that green rug smiled spring back at me and made me think of you 😘 thank you again
48” is right about 1” below where I have the frame bottom.
I could move the prints up an inch. But also I’m not standard 🤣
Do you think a towel bar or what about a double hook under each?
We’re in Lecco on Lake Como now. This is the view from our room, and the top of one of the mountains. It is quite cold here now, but absolutely beautiful.
We are in the Alps now and I’m posting fast before we leave for a day at a goat farm!
Went to our annual "Chain of Parks" Art Festival today - it covers three entire city blocks of parkland that runs through the center of downtown (rather like Central Park in NYC) and this show hosts over 150 juried artists who come from all over the U.S. every year. "Juried" means the artists have to submit several slides of their work and the local committee selects the top 150+ that it feels will present the best variety of outstanding work in a number of categories, everything from paintings to sculpture to jewelry to crafts, etc., etc. It was the #1 Festival in the South a couple of years ago and it gets better every year. Many of these artists tour for months at a time, going from festival to festival cross the country and the work is very professional. I spent some time today talking with an artist whose work caught my eye - she does paintings using layers of hand-made felting and the colors were exquisite, vibrant and strong. She's originally from a middle-European country and learned the artistic craft of felting there. As I left her booth I noticed that she had won a ribbon for "Best in Show". I'm glad I didn't notice that until I went to leave. That made our conversation so much nicer.
Since Covid the festival committee has started bringing in competitive street painting artists and here are a couple of photos I took today. Note the 3-D effects they are able to get on the flat city street surface. Tomorrow cars and trucks will be driving right over these amazing images once again.
The Art show runs both Saturday and Sunday, and yesterday the weather was glorious: very low 80s and sunshine. Rain threatened several times today (I actually had rain at my house this morning) but the festival didn't get it and they were so grateful. It was a great Springtime experience. www.chainofparks.org Click on the link to see a brief movie showing our magnificent live oak trees in our chain of parks. You can tell from the folks wearing masks that the movie was probably made two years ago.
Alice what about a slip cover? IKEA has some the Julie recommended to me at one time.
Quilted polyester was my first choice actually but have not found complete cover with tight surround in a thick type of that. May be one like that out there to be found but unaffordable for us. So stretchy velvet here we go! Then….I thought of an ugly stretchy protecter underneath a quilted partial cover like the ones we first posted that I really so I get the better look I want? The plot thickens!
Walmart has theDecor with Good Housekeeping sale too look at their more higher quality
Molly the other side of the room is just painted…doesn’t have the molding yet
I just installed this one and love it. It comes in a larger size if you have space for a taller neck.
Hi Molly…yes I did! as soon as the drapes arrive I will be ironing it all and adding it to the bed. I will post it all.
Hope they bring you a smile... Xo
