Your hard work has really paid off..it will look like a pintrest post! magazine worthy girl!!🤗
Hard work for sure HIWE 😮💨 But now that I know how great the first half of the room turned out it is giving me motivation to keep going 💪
Stunning. Puts the bedroom right up over the top in style and elegance. 🥰
I‘m just going to jump right in….it‘s been a while. I’ll skip the long boring story and say Happy Anniversary! That Mooz really reminds me of Sunshine I pick up on it just by seeing her picture.
I love that print
I just caught up and it took so long, for now I only have time to say Hi and Happy Spring!
Charlie is a big guy! I relate to the nightime purring hat, scarf or mustache. He’s
9 lbs at 7 months It’s still hard to take his picture when he’s awake
He’s a climber!
Parker shared a pillow that Julie had recommended.
This gives me a good feeling for my room in spring and summer. Light and airy. Cheerful.
I think that pillow is helping me visualize an off-white sofa, perhaps with green chairs. Some shade of green for chairs keeps popping into my mind, and then I push it away for a tan in order to stay flexible and timeless.
(I had green checked chairs in my Maryland family room, along with a similar floral pattern to the above pillow. I loved that room! Green has been my favorite color since childhood. It would still be neutral, right? Less one-note, Lola???
Dsimber why not all neutral furniture pieces…add a gorgeous rug with all the warm colors mixed with green..you can add carmel and latte in the fall and winter and greens in the spring…gray on the fireplace to pull from the island and make it all feel cohesive…you have had dark chairs for a long time…I think you need to go in a different direction..it will not be “one note”..add different texture on the chairs….and with all your accents and wall art..it is so classic…. you see all neutrals in all styles..traditional…modern…contemporary you just cant go wrong…and it is not a trend just classic.…I am going to hang strong on trying to convince you not to go dark on the chairs..keep things light….if I had to suggest a green I love this green…
Only dsimber knows for sure….
Lisalane 😂🤪 I will know, eventually! Hopefully very soon. 🙏
Alice, that room reminds me of mine, too. The green looks nice, doesn't it. I wish my sideboard would fit in that location, as that looks very nice. Maybe it will with this slightly shorter sofa. 🧐
Lia, you're right. Accessories are the place to get adventurous.
Pat, I agree with the advice and encouragement from Julie as well as most others to choose neutrals. "Neutrals" can mean different things to different people; for example, there are those that say greens are neutrals. Images help us communicate, thank goodness. In my daily reading which includes design magazines and articles, I sometimes find myself tempted by a new photo. I might stay away from such temptations, yet seeing rooms with green chairs somehow led me to loving that pillow Julie shared with Parker. And when I looked at it on Etsy, a customer's photo showed it was paired with the green velvet lumbar. I'm now much more excited about an off-white sofa! It all comes together eventually. Such is my very slow and deliberate process. 🤦♀️
I like that one.
