My leap into spring would show my bloodied hand after I have been removing leaves that have blown into my roses.
This is a reminder to neophytes. Clean out the leaves and refuse under your roses to help prevent rose diseases if you don't live in a dessert climate.
My dahlias finally arrived. Temps cool significantly the next several days so I pitted them andbthey will go under grow lights before they get planted in the ground.
Eisvogel is still small but I do see new growth. The nights have been mid 40ssdo it stays outside. If its cooler I put it next to the house under the eaves.

Berrypiez I've never seen this flower, shooting star. How lovely is it a wildflower? Oh no, hope your migraines go away soon!
Hoang, I know you are in a challenging environment for growing roses because I went to school at FSU. Some day I hope to get there during football season. Can you control diseases so they look relatively good in football season?
At peak bloom
I hate rabbits. And deer. I used to like them. Up until I planted something. When I fist moved into my house I thought it was nice to have four legged animals roam through my yard. I was really naïve. The only thing that works for me against rabbits is to fence off the bottom foot or so of a plant. it's gotten to the point where if I see a plant without some sort of fencing around it, it looks strange.
