AS, I feel your pain :-) The bluebells are a very common sight in early spring in PNW gardens and they are borderline invasive. They multiply like bunnies and are almost impossible to remove completely.........and they get everywhere!!!

I remove them whenever I encounter them. The are definitely Hyacinthoides but according to the Pacific Bulb Society, likely to be a cross between H. hispanica and H. non-scripta (Hyacinthoides × massartiana) which hybridize freely and produce a LOT of robust and floppy foliage but not so many flowers. And they spread freely by both seed and bulbous offsets. I wish that other, much more desirable bulbs proliferated as freely as these pests do!!

If you can tolerate them, their location in your garden doesn't look all that bad. Except they won't stay put there :-) They will migrate to other areas and may need to be weeded out. In my garden, even though I am diligent about removing them as thoroughly as possible (not enough real estate and I don't want to share it with weeds!!), there are always a few I miss because they are coming up through the middle of a planting of helianthemum, in amongst the ornamental grasses or in the middle of a dwarf barberry.....hard places to get to!!
