My best product so far is denial...
I like the aesthetic white. It looks lovely. Once you change the bulbs to the brightest you can find I think this could work nicely.
A great past post from years ago about a kitchen looking yellow when it was just the lights in the space.
Since you are keeping flooring, work with it. Try SW Creamy for walls. Then you can use a beautiful stone for your countertops. I love Taj Mahal. It can go cool or warm. Just have to hunt a bit for the perfect slabs. Try using Allinonepaint for your cabinets. A taupe color with brushed gold hardware would make a striking but calm color palette. I will put an Idea board together for you. Bbl
Since my Aldi and Traders are a 1/4 mile away from each other and 1/2 mile from me, I shop both every Monday. I've known the history of the German brothers, and Aldi is more bare-bones but a few similarities appear like the Everything bagel seasoning at both stores. Aldi has the better produce and better prices on them but that and salmon are what I buy there. Husband likes their German soups and brioche rolls. I grab a box and there are always many, and box my stuff as I'm checked out. Traders of course has friendly cashiers who bag your items. Courteousness and friendliness are what Traders is. Aldi's people are nice and helpful too but no comparison to Traders. Aldi doesn't have a wide variety of products that come and go to tantalize you. Traders is the only store I love and look forward to going to every week. It's a treasure hunt. Great marketing on their side or weakness on mine that I fall for almost all of it. And don't mention their wonderful plants and cut flowers which I always buy.
Aawww that’s too bad about the mirror. I hope you were able to contact the seller today to arrange the return.
Enjoy your trip! How long is your flight, and do you have to change planes? I find that to be the biggest stressor.
just be sure to have great earphones…I love Audiobook!
Oh sorry about the mirror. I too had a problem with a wayfair furniture order several years ago. They're reputable, but they weren't easy to deal with for return or credit. We were worn down and the damage was not as pronounced as your mirror, so we accepted a price adjustment.
Have a wonderful trip ! I don't like flying, but I do it because I do love to travel. You're doing the right thing with starting to address it. Enjoy the trip!
No personal experience either, but I worked closely with a lady who had botox for the TMJ. I think it did help with the TMJ, but she ended up having a numb area and trouble with one eye. IIRC, it kind of froze and would not close quite all the way which caused it to water all the time.
I have another friend who did botox injections for migraine headaches. It helped her alot and no side effects.
I have no interest in botox for cosmetic purposes. I have had needles in my face and it was not fun. I feel like I am aging pretty well and I do take care of my skin and use good products. I see a dermatologist occasionally. So far, I'm ok with looking the best I can (naturally) at whatever age. So far LOL.
How will you be using the room/will bring you in there; layout and comfort are key. Highly suggest replacing the love seat with occasional chairs for a more updated, congenial and balanced space. Don’t dye couch and I think once room is accessoried, it could work. If you really dislike and/or not comfortable, maybe now is the time to replace so you can get the feeling you are after.
Highly suggest looking on line for inspiration and look for similar colors/style as your family room if that’s important to you. Accessorizing is key and save pictures that appeal to you so have a plan before you begin. Take your time.
Be sure the rug is large enough and it’s is a good jumping off point, helping with other choices .
Molly, don’t want to burst your bubble, but I mailed something from Mass to CT, it got to the CT sorting station in one day, then took a 2 week detour to Puerto Rico! It eventually arrived intact.
Just stopping by to say hey. I was around on the old Gardenweb forums from the early 2,000's helping here and there when I could with kitchen design layouts and such, particularly with the glitchy IKEA planner, lol (and it still is!) I came searching the last couple of weeks for information on appliances for my daughter and son-n-law's new house they are buying. Many of you were helpful when I had decisions of my own to make for not only a bathroom remodel in one house, but a kitchen renovation in another. Anyway, I miss the camaraderie we had. Hope all is well with all of you.
Thanks for thinking of me pat1250. We are in new home and making it ours. I had some reservations about it, but it is coming together so well, and has so many nice updates it is a better quality home even though it is smaller. I am having fun creating new spaces with the pieces we have which is very energizing. But need sleep. Still adjusting to new sounds in this house. We are really going to enjoy the backyard in this home. Very fun and actually quieter than other house! Nite.
Had a very good day today. Actually took sone time to go get my hair done. I needed a cut and styling bad. Felt very good. My helper worked her buns off while I was gone. She got sooo much done. Enough that I actually got my car in the garage tonight! Yay! Daughter coming in on Friday night for long weekend. I am aiming to have her help get the garage and bonus storage area organized. This is key because storage inside is quite limited. So gorgeous day here today. Cooler, around 70 high and dry and suppose to get down into the 50s tonight. Love that. I will try catching up on your thread in the next couple days! Nite!
I ordered it in bigger already because I was so excited about it. Just realized that the “center box” may not fall in the center but.. it’s kinda gonna have to work anyways!
Lol.
If I knew how to add more variety to what I already have, I would for sure add more classic art! Just tell me how to mix it in such a small living space!
Remember this effort for apartment during CoVid?! I love many by Vermeer. Also love The Gleaners. (I made up the sizes. Lol.)
I'd especially like to find lesser known by famous artists, such as we did with May Day and Magpie. Seriously.
I love the way Flo helped you group yours, below.
Such beautiful art. My favorite is on lower left. ❤️
Just a few saved gallery walls and art I really liked..thought I would share…also here here is a photo of my oversized stacked art with small images in my foyer…
I got this today, and thought I would share. Such a great message. I added to #10 PRAY. Breathe, repeat! You can add your personal words!
