David Austin should use your picturespictures. I personally love the looks of this rose it has a naturalness about it that would look good with some of the more full Over the top roses.

Vaporvac, haha it's funny that their marketing pictures didn't sell me the rose, it was one of the videos i saw from a person who visited the DA garden that sold it for me.

Diane - I forgot to check on my Snowball when I was outside planting seeds the other day. I don't go in the backyard much this time of year. When I go out and fling my Peony Poppy seeds this week, I'll check. There's no snow coverage right now. And we're only getting about 1/4" of an inch of snow tomorrow...probably will melt the same day. I am very tired of snow. Poor roses are going to have another 4 days in the garage. I've been cutting off garage growth that still hasn't greened up. The new growth is yellow with tinges of brown. My roses are not happy. My new bare roots all have fresh green growth starting...not much...buch they're so pretty with their green. Thanks, about the DM...I looked and didn't see any others with DM. Thank goodness. And thank goodness I've been cleaning my clippers between roses. Yes, Don is a gem!! I'm very lucky!! I agree...I love bunnies too...especially the big ones like the Flemish Giant rabbits. They're bigger than a lot of dogs. :) :) I've seen (not by our house) some cinnamon colored bunnies that were obviously someone's pet and then started breeding. They manage quite well even though they're not camouflaged by a white coat in winter.

Kristine - yay!! You've got poppies coming up!! :) :) And you get a full day to yourself!!! Oh, what fun!! :) :)

Diane - I don't know what I'd do with a whole box of avocados. What did you do with them? :) Just think of the crabapple blossoms as free fertilizer and mulch. :)

Romans - fresh mangos. I can't imagine how wonderful they'd taste. :)

I’m sitting at DMV & catching up with your posts! Nothing fun or clever from me, except to show you Our Lady of G.

It is a week or two early here for those sumptuous blooms of first flushes, though there's lot of buds to be seen. There is a single bloom of 'Mrs. B.R. Cant' that is glorious, but hiding way back under and hard to see. Though not a variety with the fattest flowers, or even much fragrance (to my nose), here is one I was very glad to see today, as it was not doing well at all last year after our overabundance of rain, which especially soaked, long-term, the part of the garden this rose was in (lost some natives and other drought-adapted species in that general area, too -- just too much water!). It had hardly a bloom or two all last year and looked so sickly. Well, this year it seems to be bouncing back and has three lovely flowers on it today. It's "Oneto Home Saffron", a dwarf tea:

Lots of wonderful ideas on this thread already. I would love Boscobel since here it stays at 3 feet but like Diane said it has the potential for getting bigger in other areas. I apologize for my old picture from the spring that everyone has already seen.

Sweet drift is wonderful and stays at 2 feet.

the new Kendyl Marie polyantha is a wonderful little rose that blooms nonstop here and it is supposed to stay under 3 feet but it is too new for me to be sure. Here she is in front of ballerina.

the Faun/fawn always a favorite.

Christopher Marlowe seems to stay short and blooms really well with nice fragrance

The funny thing is I used to hate lavender and mauve roses and I used to always go back-and-forth with lavender lace about my disdain for anything lavender . Well what a change this year. I have purchased plum perfect. heirloom quicksilver and will have love song coming.
