You could put recliner right of fireplace for evening TV relaxing and a lower back swivel on left side keeping that side more open and spot for morning tea and gazing at the pond etc. You could do same upholstery for both chairs too if you wanted more calm look. I like the camel color in this space. Earthy, warm and soothing. Once you decide on the sofa, and chairs then we can consider fireplace finishes. Gotta run. Bbl

Morning dsimber..sorry dont want you sad but the funtion of your new comfortable relaxing chairs need the correct placement for perfect use! I like the the more open concept for entertaining..no walking around a sofa to get to the table. I really like the sloped arm swicel recliner. I do think the island could be painted after all the furniture is in the room to see how you feel about it, before spending the money on it…I like it and really dont feel it should hold you back…it is a easy fix down the road, everything you are thinking of getting is very workable with the finishes you already have..it is a lovely home! Love the addition of possible (wicker) stools for kitchen island..just keep in mind crumbs do get stuck in the weave if on the seat.…so upholstered or wood seat with wicker back would be better..I will see what I can find…get that sofa ordered and the swivel recliner you really need…before you know it we will be looking at Thanksgiving!

I thought dark velvet going on smaller chair, not just pillows. Oh well. There are ways tv can swivel and sitting in recliner infinately more comfortable than laying on couch. You will see. Hoping you dont have to get matching chairs.

What is it about ham…my hubs could eat it 3 meals a day…🤷🏻‍♀️..I shouldn’t complain since I no longer feel like cooking 3 times a day myself..but oddly I don’t really like ham ….i am a borderline vegetarian…and guess who really doesn’t eat any veggies but a simple salad?…
