I had a confusing time a few weeks back on here, and decided to step away to think about things. I’ve done some thinking and I’m back. People are funny beings.🙂

I've been around Gardenweb since around '03 or '04 -- I was planning a house build at that time so spent most of my time on the Building a Home forum. Back then, the regulars were very funny and entertaining (one went by "Mizzou" -- I can't for the life of me remember the others' names - wish I could. I went by "par3" then. ) and mostly very hepful to those looking for building advice. However, there was also a definite amount of snark and inappropriateness that got them sent to the Tea Cups by Spike more often than they liked and more often than they thought they deserved, so eventually that cast of characters left and found another platform to continue their own version of the Building a Home forum.

I followed them there for a while but mostly stayed here on various forums -- cooking when it was more active, and kitchens/baths/decorating when I was remodeling something, now pretty much just here. Although I read most posts, I really only regularly post on Jasdip's puzzles and the weekend music threads, which I may revive at some point if nobody else does.

That would be Mama Pinky, who has sadly passed on.

I've been on Gardenweb since the early 2000s. I spent most of my time on the gardening side. The Perennials forum had a converastions side then and I became a part of the 'Idylls' group. met them for a garden tour up in PA one year. Wonderful group of gardeners. Then, they switched over to fb and I left that site a couple of years ago. Still kept in touch with a couple of them and met up for our spring nursery crawl as we called it. It was fun back then. I did get a kick out of Spike and never got sent to the teacups. Oh and of course, Hot Topics. ;-)

Well, funny enough, that was my ”wrong” guess - change of scene! It was all I could come up with, but decided it coukdn’t be right since I’ve only ever heard change of scenery, too. Huh!

I am on car #6, which I’ve had for over 7 years - I’m hoping that doesn’t mean the end is near (for me, not the car!) but in my defense, the first two were beaters that didn’t last very long!
