I'm sorry I am going have to report you to a moderator.

It is much smaller than what you said you need, is not a tote bag and does not have an outside pocket and is not slouchy.

SORRY FOR TANGENT

Your Camuto bag reminded me of this one I bought last summer i think? The funny thing is, it is not expensive but perhaps because it is so OTT statement-y, all my friends assumed it was an uber expensive designer bag. HA

BTW hard to tell here but it is pale pink

I notice they have this one this year, more usable but not something i can have two of really. Umm right?

PS, I know, I am going through an animal phase.

Snake print is fine. But actual pics of snakes, even if not true to life colors, nope, no can do. Must close eyes and scroll past. I'm tons of fun at the reptile house at the zoo. Actually, I'm fine because I won't go inside. I will happily wait outside for anyone that is stupid, um, I mean bold enough to enter.

That Gucci bag is lovely!

The sofa is 1000% au courant. I love the first roos except the terrazzo like wal;s. Thanks for sharing. Wonderful.

Not everything sold, but this is the sort of thing that seems to happen at these auctions: 600 euros in pillows became almost 14,000 euros.

I really wanted to look at it, but thought it wise to keep it wrapped up and packaged. I figure if they don't believe me, the weight, which they must have in their shipping records, will corroborate.

I hesitate to have things sitting in a workroom somewhere before they are ready to use it, because I feel like something is more likely to happen to it when they have lots of fabric and lots of things going on.

The workroom which was going to be fabricating draperies for me burnt down, for example.

Have you thought about leaving one shelf with the mirror behind it? I think the sparkle and reflection of glasses really adds some life to a bar. All mirror can look chaotic.

I feel like it would want it to look less like wallpaper and more like a cabinet lined with paper. If that makes any sense, so that's why I like a textured looking solid or stripe.

I was going to vote for both 8 and 9 but I guess there is one vote per customer,

@mtnrdredux_gw, The wall color is as seen in the picture above the bench. It looks lighter and less orange IRL. @rubyclaire, the room is a sea of brown with brown cabinets, brown floor, light brown roller blinds and cream counters.

I voted for 9. I don't care for the acid green. I was looking for a complement to the blue background as well as the bright colors. However, I was wishing for a blue choice, and now that you've said the room is brown, I think you should try some blues. I've always loved blue and brown together.

No cannisters, or anything else except some cutting boards that are standing like books next to the built in microwave wall, a SS spoon rest and a bamboo two-sided box of kosher salt and cracked pepper. Nothing decorative and everything else is in the pantry.

I use my cannisters. They have flour, sugar, coffee and tea in them. I find it handy to have them nearby.

Lulu, is that all that's on your counters? One of my uncles was a control freak and forced his wife to cover all countertop appliances. It's no wonder she drank.

I love having the room to make cooking/food prep easily accessible in my kitchen. For 25 years I lived with a much smaller space with hardly any storage. It's so nice having a pantry where many things can be stored rather than sitting out. Still, I don't want everything out of sight. I love to cook and want my kitchen to work for me.

Both? One for fall travel and one for spring? If I had to choose just one, it would be the magnet since you have other items and well the darker color is just more practical I suppose.

So I go away for a day and the thread takes a turn!

Interesting. I went back and watched the video I linked again and I didn’t see underwear. I had to back and look at more of her videos. I only watch the shorts and it's just glimpse, YMMV. Again my genre is 99% Homeworthy/Quintessence/AD so not sure, but I think it is not that unusual for influencers who show themselves trying on clothes to start in undergarments at times. Maybe the younger ones moreso.. I know no one on Homeworthy has been in undies, to that much I can attest.

As for the impact on her young son, I am reminded of Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart’s famous line about defining obscenity, i.e “I know it when I see it.” There is no sexual intent and factually, she is more modestly clad than most people on beaches. I see nothing wrong with it. And, for me, if there is “nothing wrong with it,” then there is nothing wrong with it for a Mom, either.

My point about Taryn was how she looked into the camera, as if anticipating her detractors and said “yes, I have lumps, it’s fine.” I loved that little matter of fact aside. Teaching women to “make peace” with their imperfections. And I thought she looked great. You don’t need to be perfect.

By contrast, based on the description of the postings by the classmate’s Mom mentioned above, it seems to be intentionally sexual. That's embarrassing no matter what she has on.

Also by contrast the woman below is fully dressed, yet I find her to be inappropriate and an embarrassment to her children. And her parents. And her neighbors. And her president. And her countrymen!

And we have come full circle now!

@bbstx said I am so glad to see that someone else thought Lauren Sanchez’ dress was inappropriate for the place and the occasion.

There was a thread about her dress the day of the event, but it went poof.

Here's my mockup. I found it very useful.

Sofa is coming May 1st.

The last thing will be the gallery wall. I am using Framebridge for that. They will print and frame the photos, and suggest layouts, for a $99 fee they apply toward framing costs. We will also get a large paper template to hang on the wall to tell us where the nails go. With this color paint, we didn't want any trial and error! We are supposed to get some proposals early this week.

If I'm lucky, my husband and I will try to fly standby to Europe in a few weeks. First time ever for me and I'm trying to figure out what to wear so I don't stick out like a sore thumb (since I hear that's an issue for Americans). I read that ankle boots (especially if it rains) or stylish sneakers are good shoe options.

I just ordered these Teva Anaya ankle boots. I have an older lace up version that I find very comfortable so I'm hoping I'll like these. They seem more stylish than my lace up version. I hope they're stylish enough for Europe (Paris, London, or Amsterdam depending on open seats on flights).

I was also looking at Thursday Boots that it looks like Funky bought! But I wasn't familiar with the brand (just ran across them looking for ankle boots online) and so I didn't pull the trigger (yet).

I also really want these Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81 in this charcoal gray. I think what I'm reading suggests this kind of tennis shoe would be fine in Europe and they look comfortable. Unfortunately I cannot find my size anywhere (womens 8)! So my search continues. I do have other tennis shoes I could probably work with, but I'm not sure if they're stylish enough for Europe.

I will get multiple pairs of the same shoe if I love them. Last year I ordered four different colors of Cole Haan zero grande explorer, shearling hiking boots.

I could wear them for light hiking, but they're more of a fashion boot. They're not a danner!

I have now purchased and returned 10 pair of cap-toe ballet flats, including the Blondo waterproof. They did not meet my requirements, but I can’t resist a cute waterproof shoe.

I am slowly coming to the conclusion that my feet simply do not fit into this style of ballet flat.

Well, of all the outcomes, I did not see that one coming. IMO, while the others were all attractive, none of them can quite touch the original.

You are such an adventuress for projects! if you try to save the outer rim of the brim to reattach, won’t that circumference be larger than the base of the hat? what if you trim the brim and then bind with ribbon or something you find at a craft or upholstery store—- hot glue this on?

Peak Design has some awesome backpacks with laptop sleeves. They are primarily a purveyor of camera gear bags, so they know a thing or two about protecting delicate equipment.

Of the two I mentioned, the Tucano Tugo weighs 1.5 lbs. The Noamtic comes in at 4 lbs. When I travel, I’m all about weight, which is why I carry the Tucano and DD carries the Nomatic.

Check the airlines you will be flying on your trip. Some have weight limits for carry-ons.

Below is a chart that is neither exhaustive nor necessarily accurate, but will give you some idea of the limitations some airlines impose. I would check the website of the airline I’m flying for the most current and accurate information.

Thank you for the additional suggestions. The Osprey Fairview is too big, but a trip to REI (there's one not too far from me) would allow me to try out other models.

Thanks for the reminder, Bbstx. I usually don't worry about weight domestically, but I'll be packing carefully for this trip to use only a carry-on. Weight may come into play.

PS I am thinking the disposable eye patches would be used for special occasions when I want to look good. Definitely not a daily thing.

Today is my botox consult! Ironically also the day I see my dentist about the crown that partially broke thanks to teeth grinding. I definitely want the botox for the grinding/TMJ but I could be convinced to do a tiny bit around my eyes…curious to see what she recommends.

@Kswl one of the eye masks I looked at contained caffeine, niacinamides, and some other stuff, most of which is in theEmogene eye serum I already use. I think the masks are substantially the same as using eye cream and plastic wrap. 😆 I think I’ll pass.

I did not realize the Emogene eye serum I use also contains bakuchiol!

The PA I saw yesterday had just had microneedling done the day before. Her skin is gorgeous and she does not wear make-up. I meant to ask her about microneedling for me and forgot.
